I have left my Bank job (pvt) to pursue my dream of becoming CA. I had family issues back then after clearing 12th and couldn’t clear CPT. At the age of 30 I am in Inter. I started late so can’t be helped. Of course there is a pressure of marriage and all but I am doing what I can do and what I can control. Fortunately my family is supportive enough.
Yeah look wise I still look like any 18-19 year old person 😂 that is a different thing.
I am just moving ahead and becoming better day by day. It’s not the same where I was 5 or 6 years ago. Yes I have come so far after crossing so many hurdles & obstacles and I took a risk. I don’t wanna die with any regrets too that I didn’t try or give my last shot. And I will become CA no matter what it takes.

If you are not able to clear your CA by 27/28 start a job..or some business but continue studying and do something meaningful
Some people live for dream not for money job n all...for them age doesn't matter....n i m one of them ...i m 33 n still doing it with full josh....many people said to me leave it n i tried also but nhi hua mere se leave...future kya hoga dont know...but ca ke degree must hai bas ye pta hai....family issues marriage problems finanacial issues n what not.....still pursing it ...iska alag mja hai....jise explain krne ke liye words nhi hai.....i m living this life n bearing this pain n i dont hve any regret...during this journey bht se freinds chut gye ab family memebers chutne lagey hai ....log pagal tak bolte hain ....but ise bina pura kiye quit krna not possible for me....vo kehte hain na insan ke kahani bdi hne chahiye ....its really mean it...ye ek feeling hai dream hai.....pura krna to bnta hai...

Sir I passed 12 th in 2022 after that I took two drops..now I'm in bcom part one if I do CA will my gap year affect placement
I registered for ca inter at 22 clear ca inter 25 and appear ca final group 26 not clear appear both groups in 27 waiting for results hoping clearing group 1

mera opinion hai, if you can get monthly in hand around one lac, then I definitely suggest quitting CA. because the effort to reward ratio tumare favor mai hai. otherwise, life is tough unless you can clear CA.

I screwed my life pretty badly and just recently resumed my education. I am currently doing 12th from Nios through science pcmb stream and was also thinking about CA course. I would be 25 when passing out 12th and my question is: starting Ca at the age of 25 would be worth it?
I don't really have any other passions or things I want to do. Just want to get my life back on track. Is Ca a good course for someone like myself. It provides the things I want such as reputation, job security, straightforward work process. If I go with CA I would pass at the age of 30 to 31...

What your opinion on my situation
Bro it depends on your situation. If your family can bear your study expenses for next 5 to 6 years then you may go for CA.
But if your family's situation is such that you need to get into job immediately, then I think you need to reconsider your decision of going for CA.
I have walked this journey and have my own ups and downs. Trust me, once you start with this course then it's very difficult to quit it without completing due to the fear of being judged by society, family and relatives. Since you have yet not started with this course, I advice you to do proper research of this course and also evaluate your family conditions as well as your own potential. Then decide accordingly.
And at the end of the day, CA is a good course but it's Not the only means of attaining financial stability and prestige. Figure out your passion. If you are interested in some marketing profile then go for digital marketing, advertising, product management and incidental roles. And if you are driven towards finance, then doing courses like Data Analytics and Generative AI can help you easily find a well paid placement. And once you have a job, you can fund your preparation for courses like CFA, FRM, CPA or ACCA which are although expensive but take lesser time to compete than CA.
Hence do some research, analyse your family conditions and most importantly prioritize your interest and potential. Then take a decision.
Being a little late is always better than being reckless that may lead to regret.

First of all, thank you so much for writing such a long and detailed reply, much appreciated brother.
My family's financial situation is not dire but not at its prime as it used to be. I come from a family which runs solely on my father's business of whole/distribution of FMCG products. I also work in it as a bookkeeper & as an farzi CA as I file our GST return and annual returns as well like itr etc...
Currently I am not forced by my family at all, instead they are very supportive. They have said take your time and do whatever you want (as I was, till now, living as a good for nothing while doing the minimum work is required in sorting books and bills and monthly returns). But that cannot be said for my personal financial situation 😭 My family just provides food and a place to live along with a BSNL internet connection of ₹1001 a month (which they term is my salary). Personally I am gareeb as hell.
Believe it or not, I have done a lot of research in a lot of different careers including acca, ca, btech, mbbs, going abroad for education for that I have looked into countries such as Germany and Austria. I pretty much know the whole process of going there... But again not having any passion is what makes me indecisive about any career.
Genuinely, I just want a good high paying job with not a lot of headache (I know it is not possible as every high paying job comes with its challenges and headaches but I don't want a job where I am the centre of attention and bear a lot of responsibility. Little stuff I can handle) and with a streamlined work process.
I thought about joining my father's business but it's really a crudely run business at least 3 decades old. Started in 2005 or six ig. And I am really not interested in the way this business is done and I also don't see any scope in it.
That's why I took Pcmb in 12th as that opens a lot of doors. I am planning on giving NEET (As my father wants this he said he will bear all the education expenses for till pg.) I am currently preparing for it. But the competition is very though and I have very less chance of cracking it but it is near my 12th exams so nothing loss in giving it. I mostly don't about other people judge at least for education. As I said before I was living the life as a good for nothing watching tv shows, reading novels, books it wouldn't be exaggeration to say I was on a constant consumption mode. Lol
So that the story, I am in a state of paralysis of analysis. Mostly due to my lack of passion for anything...

@Vhantom YT Bro first of all you need to put your past behind because lingering on the same won't yield you anything, right ? Be appreciative of yourself that you want to become self-dependent and accordingly exploring for that. If you are finding it difficult to figure out your true passion, then attend a few career counseling classes. Once you get clarity regarding various career options, you can reach out to people in that domain to get even more insights that whether that profession resonates with you or not. Be hopeful and be grateful of the fact that you have a family to support you. You'll surely find a way. May God bless you 🙏🙌

I even had my kundali checked to see which career would be better for me.
