Harley Benton is taking over the world
Had my eyes on this one for a while now and finally got mine yesterday.
I'm absolutely in love with it.
I have one, i would really go for the 550. its much much better.
themplar I’m ordering the 550 on Friday in Paradise City amber. I think I’d like to have this too as a second axe.
I will most likely give a 550 a roll in the future too, but fell in love with this white finish.
For that price certainly a steal and I'm still really happy with it.
What makes you prefer the 550 overall?
The Harlequin honestly it’s because Slash is one of the 2 biggest reasons I play along with Edward Van Halen. I can go on about alnico pick ups and an all mahogany body but this white guitar sounds like a single cut, dual humbucker guitar should sound even with a basswood body. If I get some birthday money, this white one is something I’m seriously considering as well.
Is it heavy? How heavy is it?
Had mine for a little over a year. Gorgeous guitar. I changed to ratio tuners and push/pull pots with Seymour Duncan clones because the original pups were very microphonic. For the $155 I paid (plus shipping) I couldn't find a more beautiful mod base. Truly a fine guitar.
I bought the HB SC-500 bk (black) about 6 months ago and it's awesome, no flaws!!

Harley Benton walked a long way. Nowadays is a good-quality but economic brand. You can have a very decent guitar, in the shape you want, without paying a known and expensive brand. Acoustic guitars are quite good too!
Always been a fan of the Vintage V100, and this reminds me a lot of that. What a gorgeous guitar, can’t wait to try one out.

Hopefully HB might consider an ebony fretboard for this guitar to make it more unique to the other SC models. It would also give the guitar a more authentic classic look.

Guitar looks like it’ll be part of my collection: now I wanted to talk about how he mentioned “don’t know why no one uses the n/b pups together” and I must agree my favorite tone is on my esp with a coil tap, and I pull it from Humbucker to single and send it between the n/b and wow… it’s so tight yet so loose like booty, it is really a joy to play by far my favorite
Just been brought this model for christmas by my partner, few more days to wait before I get it, of course I inspected it upon arrival first, flawless in every way, although the frets are a bit scratchy and need a good polish up with a dremel but i've had the big brands arrive in the same condition so no complaints here, my first and definitely not my last harley benton. thumbs up.

@@HarleyBentonOfficial Sad to say that mine just arrived in damaged condition, and multiple serious flaws. What a shame. I know that it is not indicative Harley Benton's quality. Hopefully customer service helps I'm some way. I really wanted to like this guitar. It could have been nice if the QC was there. I messaged Thomann 15 mins after it arrived. Fingers crossed 🤞. Update: Sent pictures of damage and the boxes as they requested. Waiting on wahat will be done next. On a good note. The guitar plays and sounds amazing. Normally I would just chalk it up. But this guitar was for me personally and not just for the channel review. But I am sure it will be taken care of. Harley Benton has always been good quality for me. Im sure the customer service will be great also. Thanks HB.
Update. Thomann customer service was first rate. I highly recommended them. Amazing !
I have the black version. I recently took the pickguard off just to see what it would look like, and it is stunning! The pickguard will not be going back on!

Ok I lied. I don't want 16 Harleys,I want 20. But the good thing is I have 4 so 16 more to go. Just got this wonderful guitar the other day and they just get better with each one I buy. I see what you mean about your inner Jimmy Page. I too could never figure out why people stay away from the middle setting. No flaws no issues. This is a mid grade Harley? You coulda fooled me. It's high end all the way. Another hit from Thomann music. Thanks Benny.

Super single cut. l love the middle switch position on the SC custom FR, especially with the coils split so full sounding👏🏽

Please if there is somebody that has had a harley benton, can you confirm that their guitars are actually quality? Cause at this price point it seems way too good to be true

@@michaellarusso8421 Yes it is, I play punk, metall, grunge with it. Y need a good amp for it, I use a Mooer modeling amp and my old VOX Valvetronic. Have pleasure!

The fact you can get a proper well-made LP-style guitar with a set neck for 138 euros these days just blows my mind...
Of course I might have to do a fret dressing and maybe upgrade this or that but my experience with these guitars is that after a setup they're stage or studio ready...
This is the perfect LP I would take on stage and rock out and not be afraid if it got stolen ( mind you it has never happened to me in decades because I'm always careful ) as opposed to bringing my vintage Gibsons on stage...Unless I have an army of roadies to protect them...Maybe one day 😁😁😁

I REALLY want a guitar like this but the basswood body puts me off. I wish these came with a mahogany body like the 550 series does.
Supernautiloid basswood still sounds really good. Even a lot of super high end guitars, like $3000 Ibanez Jem’s have a basswood body. I haven’t noticed any differences tone wood wise between my Gibson and my HB les Paul custom
What's the difference between the sc450 and sc500?

I have a epiphone les paul 100 with more than 10 years and i been thinking that it's time to upgrade. Ive been aiming for the epiphone les paul standard MG 50's until i found this Harley Benton. Is it worth to buy this one instead of the epiphone? It more than half of the price

Hi Benedict, when is this wonderful alpine white guitar back in stock?
Mine arrived today (Christmas Eve 2019) and it is a really well put together guitar. I'm very impressed with the quality however the pickups absolutely suck. I would have rather received it without these POS things. Other than that, it's a beast.

Ordered this one yesterday! It’s out of stock but says It’ll be back in a week, do you know who long the shipping will take to get to the US?
Hard to predict since we are still in the middle of the pandemic. We heard anything from 3 Days to 3 months. As much as we would like to change this uncertainty, it is not possible for us. Keeping our fingers crossed though!

I have the sc -550 and I love it but I’m looking for one with a fat neck to counter the feel to that one. Do any of the Harley benton single cuts have a thick neck and if so which is the thickest? The 400, 450 or this 500?

I have the HB SC-450 P90 GT and I absolutely love it. This model is my next LP style pick. Please do NOT change the fretboard from blackwood! It's perfect for the Gibson style guitars.
Also, it would be GREAT if you guys could start offering the classic green jade and bone/cream keystone/tulip style tuner buttons/heads on the Gibson models! It's a classic look that just can't be beat! (IMHO)

My jb-75 has a blackwood fretboard......and I love it.
Any sound difference between this one and the black version of the same guitar? I'm asking because they have different pickups. Also will this be a good choice for Rock/90s metal?
They are listed as having different pickups but it's just because someone hasn't updated the specs list, they no longer use Wilkinson's (due to counterfeit fears) and both guitars now have the same set of pickups so there is no difference (unless you're Billy Corgan and you believe white makes guitars sound better 😂)

Könnt ihr die Gitarre nicht noch mal in hochwertiger so um 300€ rausbringen? Dickerer Hals wie bei der EX-84 und 43-44mm breit. Besseres Holz, nicht dieses schlechte Meranti, sondern das Dark Red Meranti, falls es das noch auf dem Markt gibt, oder Mahagony. Dann bessere Elektronik und PUs. Locking Mechaniken und hochwertigere Brücke, Edelstahlbünde und dann als Black Beauty. Darf dann auch 350€ kosten. Kommt in Quark und macht das Ding.

All the new ones come with with the modernized headstock :)

It depends on what you want to do with it. If you are looking for overall flexibility, you might wanna choose the HB-35.

can you do a just playing video with the te-52?
yeah... mine sucked. had to do alot of adjusting to get it right,barely stays in tune,came with a ton of cracks and dents,razor sharp fret ends(not exaggerating) and the neck is super unstable. although i did buy a b stock, that still doesn’t excuse it.
also i shall add, the fretboard was BAD. super dry wood and some awful fret wire. i promise im not a hater. i heard alot of good reviews but was extremely disappointed. i actually sold my cool gibson m2 to buy this and i regret from the very bottom of my sole.

Please bring it back in white. Black is getting to be tiresome. Punk rock is long gone.
Just brought one. Without doubt the biggest pile of junk ive ever played. This is no more than a toy disguised as an instrument.
Pick ups are truely awful. Tuners turn for days without affecting pitch and the paintwork around the binding looks like a 7yr old did it.
Mine was brand new. At least 5 bad dents on the fretboard. Glue seeping from the nut and frets feel like they are made from a coca-cola tin.
Volume and tone pots are all or nothing. Either full on or silent.
Pickguard had a huge scrape where the guy slipped with a screwdriver.
Please avoid at all costs. Just a total waste of money. 😔
