Hello, I have a felted mouse and its leg is kind of falling off, how would I go about reattaching it. I dont really know anything about felting but the mouse is precious to me and I have no idea where to start
You should be able to just use a felting needle (try 36 T maybe) and re-felt it back on (stab through the leg onto the body a bunch of times). If it is not holding well enough, you may put a small piece of core wool between the leg and body and repeat the felting with the needle. If all if this fails, I imagine you could always just put a tiny drop of glue and hold the pieces together tightly for a minute. Best of luck to you!
I am not sure I am qualified to give you the best answer. I use pretty much any roving, and I mostly buy them based on the color I need rather than specific breed of wool. And I do believe some work better than others, I just don't think I have enough experience to say for certain. I can say merino roving feels very nice and soft. I know it is good for clothing and yarns to make clothing, and I do use to felt sometimes too. I do have links to the wools I used for this project in the video description. I hope this helps. Thank you 😊
Hi there. My cat just passed and I had her 15 yrs. I have some of her fur. And am wondering in it can be used for a mini felted cat. I am taking an interest in felting. I miss her dearly. I want to make a little sleeping cat figure.
Glad you uploaded this series. Especially listing all the supplies. I’m learning this art form and everyone is doing it differently, which makes it harder to follow. When you painted the eyes, did the paint grip the cabochons? Or did you have to experiment with different types of paint?
You are so welcome! I think there is a lot of freedom in how you needle felt, so that is probably why there are so many different styles (or possibly I am doing it wrong, haha!-- I am self taught). Yes, the paint did grip the cabochons. I have used these paints and other similar style acrylic craft paints with good success on glass cabochons. I hope you enjoy your projects!
Dear Krysta, you did a wonderful job! I followed your tutorial (2 hours and 35 minutes) but I would like to know how many hours of actual work it took you to create your "masterpiece". If you want to sell your work, what would the price be, considering time and material costs? Thank you!
Thank you! Most of my projects take around 20 hours. Some only 15, others (larger ones) closer to 40 hours. This exact cat portrait is still available for purchase in my Etsy shop, KreationsByKrystaO, if you are interested. There is more info regarding purchasing the supplies to make one yourself in the video description (just click the "show more" button, or if you are on a phone, it's a little down arrow to the right side of the video title). Hope this helps :)

This is beautiful!! What kind of wool do you find works best for the fur?

Yes you can! I would recommend creating a wool body first, then felting her real fur into that base.

Could you make Ravenpaw or yellowfang next?
Maybe. Those are great ideas! I just don't have much time dedicated to needle felting anymore... :(
Thats ok
