Hey Mr. Fruit! When that sword lunge failed (7:54), it was because you pressed the zoom-in button, which triggered your stabilizers, locking you in a mid-air hover.

This is the kind of stuff Destiny needs! I hope when custom matches arrive you can put on crazy settings, like unlimited heavy, sword only, low gravity rift. They need to make the settings extremely customisable and the possibilities would be endless.

Hey Mr. Fruit, you hovered because you triggered your Smart Link (the left trigger). The Smart Link allows you to lunge farther with the sword, though it's more useful on the ground while you're mobile. ;) Also, you can use ALL of your abilities, including the Spartan Charge (which is epic with the hammer, even if it leaves you vulnerable for a moment), and the Ground Pound (useful if you get knocked into the air).
Mr fruit, the reason you hovered in the air is because you have auto stabilise on, where your stabilisers kick in when you aim down the sights in mid air, this helps you maintain accuracy when jumping. however, it will leave you exposed to the enemy
Fruit, try a little something I put together in Reach griffball-Gravjumping. Look at the ground with the hammer, pull RT and then press aA immediately after pulling RT. If its anything like Halo Reach, you jump 3 maybe 4 times higher than usual.
In case you play again, use the Grav Hammer for when your team has the ball, or when nobody has the ball. Use the Energy Sword when the opposing team has the ball.
Unasked for Grifball advice: Swords for carriers, Spartan slam to score, G.Hammers CAN lunge, if you're close to dying with the ball you should throw it across the court, and lastly enjoy yourself; I mean c'mon it's f@#king Grifball.

Grifball was such a cool gametype in halo only flaw it had was the guys camping at spawns just to get kills.
Mr. Fruit! The sword was made for killing the carrier! The hammer just causes them to fly across the map and is less of a threat for the carrier.
And yet this new grifball grif doesn't die when he scores and sarge is crying in the corner because of it

In griffball you can do sweet sword assassinations and hammer ones. If you play it again you should challenge yourself to get some.
