- In this video I continue building my 28" drum sander with lifting drum. In this part I made a conveyor. I was hoping this part would be the last one but no, there is too much work left for one part, so see you in the part 5.

Absolutely enjoyed this build. I love your workbench and your style of building. The inner tube part was absolutely ingenious, never saw that before.

This is a geat design for a conveyor. I am definitely going to copy it. I am currently attempting to build a drum sander out of an old radial arm saw. After seeing your's I'm not certain mine will have enough power. It has a 1/2 hp motor. Yours looks to be about 2 hp. Anyway I like the conveyor.
That truly was great to watch all the different parts come together. Craftsmanship 👍

I know you already did it but a buying a old treadmill for cheap would get you lots of good parts for this. Rubber belt and rollers with a drive pully

At the end of the cuts @1:06 you need to drill a hole in the wood at the end of the cut to stop it splitting the wood further down, or those cuts could develop into splits down the length as the wood dries out. Standard practise.

What was that wood u used for the base build of the piece? Was it Oak? This is one sick build mate.. It's awesome. I wish I had ur skill levels but the only way I'm ever going to get anywhere close is to be out in my shop every day working hard at it. Guys like u and others I watch should have ur own trade schools. Teaching ppl these skills are for life.
These kinds of skills are being lost. Inventing things is getting lost unless it a throwaway piece nowadays. I watch guys like u reuse things all the time. The world is full of junk but on man's junk is another mans gold..
