Sorry. Typo. I put usb in and everything seemed fine at first then in red on the screen it says Game Code Update and below that says Resuming. For a very long time. Wasn’t sure what to do and couldn’t find info online except to make sure it’s in Fat32 format. So I turned off machine and took stick out and rechecked usb and zip file. Inserted it into the other USB port and this time it worked. Weird.
Bonjour, je viens d acheter un star wars prenium d occasion la mise a jour actuel est v0.89 je penses quelle n a jamais était faite. je peux mettre la dernière version directement cela ne risque pas d endommager le flipper? Merci beaucoup
Nice tutorial! Thanks. Do you recommend a certain type of flash drive? Size, version, and brand? Like a sandisk 3.0 32GB for example? Or would any smaller size work? Thanks bud!
@@ArcadePinballTalk thanks for the quick reply! I’ve only updated through insider connected WiFi and this will be my first attempt at updating my other 2 sterns.
Thanks for posting this video 1st of all, my last Stern was a Batman66(sold it) and now I’m getting a Jaws so I’m not familiar with Stern recently,, so I have a question please… this is the only way to update or Stern did the same as JJP and can be Wi-Fi, of at least theres a way in the coin door to do it?… Thank you in advance and most important… I’m subscribed!😎
@@ArcadePinballTalk I had no idea, I got my game today and I wasn’t able to connect “Insider" but thanks to you I updated the game with a 16 stick…. Thank you so much "Arcade & Pinball Talk" I owe you one 🫵😎!
Why don't you show unlocking the face and pulling the translite out? IT'S NOT THE SAME KEY THAT OPENS THE COIN DOOR!!! How do you take the translite out??
You generally get 2 keys and one of them opens the Translite should be a lock on the front which allows the speaker area under the Translite to fold forward towards you to get the Translite out
I just tried to update my GZPro and all was going well until I found that my four buttons inside of the coin door that allow option selections does not work. Any idea how I get them to be operating? Thanks
That’s very interesting some of the godzillas have a known issue with the coin door and or buttons. Sometimes it’s as easy as turning the game off sometimes you need new buttons.
MAC OWNERS READ THIS: You have to format your USB stick to MS-DOS FAT(32). The game will not be able to read a Mac OS Extended USB stick which would be your default format.
Stranger Things Pro 1.02.0 code I am getting a node board 8 overcurrent and node boards 1 8 and 9 are not found. Just got this machine yesterday and just did an update on it. This is my first machine
Some newer machines show that. Let it sit for a bit.. if that does not work RE download the code and make sure it is the complete code on a thumb drive and reinstall. This happened on a TMNT I purchased and it finally took it
@@PK-mi8lc it took like 5-10 minutes for my TMNT to update. Had node board issues like what you state, eventually it just took it. If it does not power off and power on again after that time.. see if that does not reset it. Worst case RE download the code and seat it in the second USB area not the one you did prior
Some of the newer machines connect to wifi and can update that way , whereas older machines that do not have that ability need to update by using the USB stick and downloading the code from the stern site 👍
@@ArcadePinballTalk basically it gets stuck on game code update - resuming, and it will keep rebooting the game. for an example I was trying to update my Black Knight Sword of Rage seeing its on 1.0.0 to the newest one, and it got stuck on saying that. It boots up saying "Stern Pinball" then it after a second it says "resuming update" and then it repeats that until you power off the game, take the stick out. And it'll revert back to 1.0.0 🤷♂
@@Niko_Mkay turtles did that to me.. I kept the stick in.. powered machine off.. turned back on and it re booted and downloaded the rest of the code. Also make sure you are downloading the actual code and not the read only
Not a big deal.. go back to your stick.. delete everything on it.. make sure to download the non readable version of the code.. once downloaded to your computer double click on the download and it should unzip and show you 1-2 files.. copy to your thumb drive whatever is there.. go back to your steen machine and follow the steps again.. sometimes the code does not all the way go through or there is an error in the download.. also if it goes through a node board check let it occur and wait and be patient.. it may restart it may not.. if it does not and just sits there then power off power on again and see if it RE downloads this happened to me on turtles.. it reinstalled and worked fine all boards checked off.. again.. if it has an issue easiest path past this is RE download code and redo. Let me know how that goes!
Sometimes it takes a while.. it may turn off also. Just turn off after a bit and restart and sometimes the new code will come on. Worst case you may need to re download it
Awesome video. Its crazy how few tutorials there are like this.
Thank you.. I wanted to make this one simple so everyone could do the update easily with no issues. Hope it was helpful!

Dose it reset all your settings when you update?
It will update it to the newest code yes.. sometimes scores and plays can be reset in this process
Thanks for the tutorial.

Do you need to format the USB stick in any special format?
No sir.. just make sure you got enough memory

Yes a Thumb drive with the appropriate storage is what you need to get it to work.
