I really like your instruction video. It helped me out installing my Akrapovic full system on my BMW S1000RR 2015. If you are not a professional mechanic I can say, keep it slow and take your time while installing it!
So I just found out you can still use your passenger pegs for this exhaust and have it also work as a bracket for exhaust.I went to Ace hardware and spent 1.79 and got it done.Looks factory too.
Best way to do this is to install the headers one by one. Torque down the copper bolts/flanges first, Use a tiny bit of oil to lube the headers, then slide them into the flanges. Then use the spring puller.
I prefer to have the header assembled when I install it. While there are different installation methods I do have the benefit of having installed a very large number of systems over the years. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear While you have the benefit and experience of that, not everyone does. I'm sure you handled it fine, but for most of us, a different method could make it easier...especially if you don't have someone to help.
Hello Brian, My akra system is leaking at the midpipe joint any idea how to fix it? also, I lost 90% of engine braking after install, please advice, Thank you so much. love your tutorials.
The slip joints used on motorcycle exhaust systems seal pretty well but are not perfect. Some minor leaks are not uncommon and will typically go away over time with some slight carbon build up. Given the slight back pressure you typically will not hear or have any issues. Any bike I have installed an exhaust on there was no impact on the engine braking. Perhaps it is the difference in sound you are noticing? - Van
I do not have a lot of experience personally with tuning the BMW. Do a quick Google search on this. I am pretty sure there are some BMW specific ecu tuning devices. - Van
I've been eye-ballin' this exhaust for my 2017 10RR. What are the before/after dyno numbers? I know all dynos are different, but there should be a clear before/after number defined. Do you know this info?
If your going to track it, you might as well, before doing the install, drain the coolant, and remove the radiator, to speed up the install process of the exhaust, but to each his own. Are you installing Samco silicone hoses with Engine Ice? Works really nice on my 2015. Also, don't know if later on you'll be removing the stock sub frame, for a full aluminum one, otherwise, for time being, you can get these two bolt inserts for the passenger footrest on the left you removed. Its from BMW, doesn't cost a whole lot, and for me, looks better than the blanking plated from R&G or any other after market manufacturer, more stealth like and unseen. 46718535561 (x2) Cover for passenger seat support www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=0D01-EUR-02-2014-K42-BMW-HP4_0D01,_0D11_&diagId=46_1255
We will be doing a separate install on the Samco hoses. I typically do not pull the radiator but would have in this situation if we were not doing videos to kill 2 birds with one stone. I will show this to Jimmy, thanks for the heads up. - Van
Yes we ship to AUS using USPS or DHL. DHL is faster and USPS is less expensive. Our site will generate quotes when you enter your info on the site. - Van

Sportbike Track Gear which state y’all from Van up north right
When review translogic quick shift
I am pretty sure Jimmy plans to keep the OEM quick shift/blipper on the bike. - Van

Nice video thanks you very much
You are welcome and thank you for watching! - Van
Is it normal if it's wiggly after all the bolts have been tighten or is it time to buy new Ex gaskets?
A little bit of movement is normal for sure. - Van
How do you go about flushing the ECU for 2016 do you need a power commander?
I do not have a lot of experience personally with tuning the BMW. Do a quick Google search on this. I am pretty sure there are some BMW specific ecu tuning devices. - Van

Sorry we have not had this bike to the dyno. - Van
Thanks for the in depth video!🤙🏻 What was the weight difference between the old and new exhaust?
Thanks for watching. Pretty sure I call out the weight difference somewhere in the video. I remember it being a lot. - Van
Now Do you need to reflash the ecu?
To get the maximum benefit you will need to flash the bike. - Van
Is it 1 gasket per cylinder head??? Because I'm doing mine now and I have 5 circle gaskets that came out.
There should only be 1 gasket per exhaust port. - Van

Not even close to how you pronounce "Akrapovic" but good video. I'll be installing the same system on my 2017. Thanks for helping!
No worries, thanks for watching! - Van
Fans from Indonesia
Thanks for watching, appreciate you! - Van
When GB racing review?
We have a stack of parts that need to be installed still. Stay tuned! - Van

Deveria entregá no Brasil should deliver in Brazil was going to sell a lot
We ship to Brazil using DHL or USPS. We ship a lot of international packages every day. - Van
Nice vid. Great website.
Thanks man, appreciate that for sure! - Van
i find it funny that an oil COOLER is situated directly infront of the hottest part of the exhaust (except the cat)
When you are riding the air flows over the cooler and then over the exhaust. When you are sitting you will see a little heat transfer. - Van
😜💪👍👍👍👍👍👍
