"The role of the artist is to instill an idea that is actually more important than the final object."
This is the most casual, friendly and an actually interesting interview I've seen
I could listen to Angus speak on whatever all day. He's also an incredible dancer and looks fabulous in dresses.
This is seriously one of the most inspiring interviews I've ever seen. I keep coming back to it regularly.
I'm very happy having wathced this.
Absolutely wonderful - seems like such a great dude
Dude! I've never been more inspired so quickly in my life! Thanks for sharing!
This was a great interview. It kinda sparked my creativity a bit in a much needed way, also made me feel good inside.
The most interesting band for the moment! MESS is great but i fell in love with them with the 'They were wrong........' and 'Drums not dead'-albums. Long live moustaches!!!!!!!!!
Conceptual art to experimental music. Good video interview!
Inspirational interview! Talking about The Knife highlight is a plus as well!
8 years ago Los Angeles was falling apart,
Present day: fallen apart
very good
I'm glad they sunk the steam engine boat as the concept was borrowed from the book 'Around the world in 80 days' by Jules Verne. Great interview. Great band. Liars continually out do themselves with no end in sight
Actually it´s funny so see him fitting in L.A. I've always imagined Angus like a kind a underground NYer, living in Long Island.
Great interview.
good description of downtown LA
Perfect document, it did make me bring out the muses.
Long may they continue with this method of songwriting.
Yes I agree with it
Chico enjoying man!
Bury Sculpture Centre? 😄 That's down the road from me
what was that book that he had all the artists and the knife?
Did he create the book he kept referencing from?
Lefty here - I always 'start from the back'

Against the law!!
picasso stayed playful after the technical era
what is that book?
+Brian Justie It's the central object of the show, De Canvasconnectie, which is on a Belgian channel that focuses on culture, music, history, art etc. The book just has tons of concerts and exhibitions. The point is that the central guest talks about the things he deems most interesting and talks about the connection with their work. Sadly there's not that much of it available online I think.
The statement about downtown LA being like ghost town is ludicrous and irresponsibly false, especially coming from a person who lives in LA (I even first thought it might be some kinda of unfunny "joke"). Everyone in LA knows that downtown has been experiencing a resurgence of growth over the past decades, replete with plentiful loft housing, new bars and restaurants, and old theaters being refurbished and turned into live music venues, etc., etc., etc.,. And the statement is not only false, it is pernicious. Even if it WAS true that DTLA was a "ghost town" and mostly inhabited by the homeless, then it wouldn't BE a ghost town as ghost towns are empty of people and homeless folk ARE actually PEOPLE, contrary to what the petty and privileged may tacitly believe (byw, "habitated" is not a word; it's "inhabited"). Never heard a word out of this guy's mouth before this but in two minutes he did a good job of ingratiating himself to me.
Hope this helps you go places somehow
Yeah, I thought that was a little strange. I lived in Highland Park, & just moved to Echo Park. It's full of positive life & things to do.
But everyone knows there's nothing to do downtown
