Ironically, the October Revolution occurred as a result of Russia not being a sovereign state. British and French finance capitalists forced the Russian Empire to remain a belligerent in WW1 despite how badly the war was going. Millions of men died, and many more sent into battle without bullets or boots all in service of soulless imperialists.
The USSR was certainly a large improvement over the Russian Empire, they certainly made mistakes but ultimately created a better society and good place to live. They built a country that the West would fear, rather than manipulate, and won for the working class the freedom to choose their own fate.

Your entire comment is bullshit. All countries lost millions of men in WW1 and while Russia could have done better considering the size of her army , still they almost crushed Austria - Hungary and would have definitely lasted until 1918 when the war would eventually end (after the US intervention). That means that Russia could have been on the victors side if the traitor Lenin and his degenerate followers didn’t betray their homeland and brought it down from within. The commies went on to create a modern terror state. Millions were murdered and were subject to immense suffering and humiliation. A failed state , with a failed degenerate ideology both socially and economically that brought Russia and the other unfortunate countries that happened to be under Soviet rule back to the Middle Ages compared to the West.
