Giggle Hat? I have never heard that term used in my entire life. Akubra, sun hat, or wide brim.

Akubra is a brand name, and is also used to describe a type of bush hat the company makes, a sun hat is any hat designed to protect from the sun, and a wide brim is just a term to describe any hat with a wide brim. The Giggle hat or Boonie hat is a wide brim hat used a lot by the military.
