Man that pic looks so much dang like the Ramones. Its probably homage rather than rip off. But, if you were to wanna rip off a bands style, the Ramones is a good pick. They suck at playing and singing so much that it somehow someway transcends into awesome cause of how raw it is. Oh well. Guess i should stop judging appearance and give this show a listen. Im really loving these old punk shows you're posting, Mr Mike the hamster. I was in a punk band in highschool but that was in 2002-2004 so at that point punk was pop music and legitimized but all of us in my small scene and group of friends wondered what it was like to be there in the clubs when punk started taking off. People has told me so many times "you had to be there" when discussing hardcore punks from the 80s and im like "I wish I was why didn't you guys record the stuff more?". So yes, Mr. Mike the hamster, you are doing the lords work here.

The Ramones don't suck at their instruments at all. It's incredibly hard to play that fast with all downstrokes. Try it. You'll break your wrist before the pre chorus.

@@WaitingForTheHook i have and I done. Its a very bad way to play. I did the Johnny way super fast and sometimes I'd do like Billie Joe punching down into the strings.i don't know how that guy still plays what he plays. Im in my 30s and im way out of shape for the workout that punk rock music is at its best.

Hi Legato! It's Kim from The Fastbacks. Thanks for that Ramones tip. We love and loved them and even got to play with them once!!!! I've never even heard this show before....I mean, since we played it in 1986. Wow. What a find. Oh internet, you are always amazing.

Im surprised i hadnt recognized the name cause its really good stuff. I wish I could have been there. I was born in 86. Do be proud that you got to be there. Us 90s kids and millennials we inherited all yalls music and stuff but we're always gonna be jealous we weren't there when the foundation was laid for us to do whatever we wanted to do with our music. We could be punk metal rap anything really. Everything in between. We got a legend about yall 80s punks. The sex pistols almost snuffed out the genre while it's still in the crib, but the 80s punks from all over kept it alive for us. East to West coast, from the capitol to Texas punk stayed alive through the trash that was 80s pop hair metal. Thats the punk legend anyways.
