It was heavily implied that Zerxus got his powers from something else than just the people. With how Evandrin talked about it to Zerxus and what Zerxus said to Asmodeus, I think it is pretty likely he is a Palladin to the Luxon.
Either the Luxon itself, or whatever/whoever is behind it. But yeah, seemed very much posible that being the case.
Yeah that cosmos and stars motif was pretty noticeable
36:00 For a good written necromancer, I recommend reading Gideon the Ninth and Harrow the Ninth from the Locked Tomb series.
1:33:00 the thing about invisibility is that I believe it's an illusion spell which means that I think you'll be able to see while you're invisible.
If it was a transmutation spell then yeah the light hitting the eyes would be an issue and Brendan did made it out to seem that in age of Arcanum invisibility was a transmutation spell.
Brennan trolling them with the fireworks was great XD
I cried so much during that last hour of this mini-campaign.
Talking about the orb from Patia, we need to note that when Cerrit’s family calls him on the sending stone at the end, his wife said they were in Jrusar. So I know its 100’s of years later. But that orb could still be there in that big library that Imogen and Laudna were trying to get into.
They said Gwessar... meaning Tal'Dorei.
Zerxus is my fave he's so good 🥺🥺
Someone needs to make the essay on this guy and how he thematically fits into the moral framework of critical role
32:09 what I still wanna know is:
1) wtf was up with these taxmen? Like, Nydas, wth are you playing at builinf mageslayers?
2) wth was Zerxus talking about, that the gods were "called" to Exandria, and that "we were here before" how would he know that? Is he a primordial? Does it have anything to do with the Luxon?
I think he was mostly wrong on that part
1) Avalier made the Taxmen as counter weapons to Aeor and whatever weapons they were making...
2. Probably lore that connects to how he got his divine powers.
@@ruga-ventoj Ah right, I forgot about the Aeor connection. Still. Building something designed to kill wizards in a city consisting mostly of wizards is... questionable at best.
@@theanyktos well they are called Taxmen. Outside of war, the would probably be used to collect taxes and other government work from unwilling wizards.
@@ruga-ventoj Yeah, collecting taxes with the threat of physical violence. Completely unquestionable use of killer robots.
Edit: ok, for some reason the comment this was in response to isn't showing up. But basically it just said the robits would be used for tax collection when not at war.
Exu clamity should be the next animated series
The woman's audio is too loud and the guy's audio is too low. I hope you can fix that.
