Thanks very much form the video. The instructions for this kit aren't exactly expansive, and this helped a lot. Had no idea how the roof joists fitted till I watched you do it.
I enjoy other modelers building kits as I learn a lot by watching especially from others' mistakes. I like how you kept the different buildings separate. I just finished building a Walthers Cornerstone chicken coops and farm building kit. I wish I had used my airbrush to paint the windows while they were still on the sprue. I ended up hand painting everything after it was assembled. After much cussing and swearing I completed a Tichy Train Group flatcar. I followed the directions to the tee and wished I hadn't. After installing the stirrups in a previous step I ended up breaking every one of them off while trying to install the extra added bronze phosphor grab irons. If you ever build this kit make sure to install the stirrups as the very LAST step. I did make some stirrups out of staples from a desktop stapler that were the correct size for the HO flatcar. I ended up spending as much time chasing small parts across the floor as I did assembling the model, LOL! After I completed the assembly I painted the whole underside rail brown and hand painted each board on the deck a different shade of brown to grey brown mixing the acrylic paint in a little plastic communion cup as I went along. It came out looking very realistic. I wanted to build this kit as I'd seen another video of a modeler building this kit and it had great brake detail under the car (which no one will ever see). Cheers from eastern TN
Not sure which option you choose to build but just remember that if you go with option 1 then you will have to uncouple the car "outside'...I just didnt think that was very prototipical so I went with the two seperate buildings. Thanks for watching
Hi Steve. Just wanted to let you know that I subscribed to your channel. I just finished watching your entire video collection and really enjoyed them! I look forward to your future videos. Oh, you may recognize the bell I'm posing with in my profile pic to the left, as well as the locomotive I'm standing in on my channel wall! I stopped over in Chattanooga for a couple of days to revisit some of my old childhood memories during a trip to visit my brother in GA... You have inspired me to finally dig out the boxes and boxes I have marked "old train stuff" and get started on my new layout! Who knows, maybe I'll be a youtube model railroader? Just a thought, You should consider doing a video to show your favorite hobby tools, esp. the micro mark stuff! I would like to know more (specifically, what each tool is called, where to find them and the approx price?). Talk to you later! Ben from Syracuse, NY
Hi Dave here I am getting a HO Scale layout from a friend and at one time it had a saw mill on it the millgot wipped out when the layout was moved in a trailer so I am lookinfg for Ideas not real good at modeling but willling to l learn thanks like your videos
6:53 wrong. Glue can and usually will squash and go onto the visible glass. You had it right there at 6:20. Just put dabs along the outer edges. That's enough to hold em..

Kind of unrelated but what camera do you use?
JVC GZ-HD3U....

I always use rc canopy glue when I put my windows in my kits it dries clear and does not attack the plastic.
Thanks....I will have to give that a try. Guess I find it at a hobby store that handles RC equipment?
Just noticed that it did not upload the final outcome...will have to get it up asap
