I am a 92-year-old Taiwanese. During World War II, I left Tainan,Taiwan to Tokyo, Japan working for Japan Navy building RaiDen in Kanagawa Ken, while studying in the Navy Base at the same to get high school diploma. I was 13-15 years old while staying in the Navy. Japan was my country since born till the end of War. While waiting for the Japan Navy Vessel to bring us Navy Teenagers back to Taiwan, we were singing this song everyday. I think this song was created post war. Japan Government gave me the Retirement Pension for two years and few months telling us that we were not Japanese anymore since Japan lost the war. We were allowed to choose to stay in Japan maintaining Japanese citizens or to return to Taiwan. Some of us stayed and some went back to Taiwan. I missed my family too much so I chose to go back to Taiwan. I missed those teenager-days while studying, working and traveling during the weekends to Japan famous sightseeing places. Enoshima is the place I like the most.

自衛官時代を思い出します、新隊員前期教育の成績が振るわず本当に恋人と泣き別れた人も居ましたね。
