- Maine Coon cats Buster and Luna are facing a difficult obstacle course today. They will come across towers, rings and pillars on their way to the reward at the finish line. Will they be able to complete the challenge?

I have actually been training them for some time now to jump higher and higher over that first "tower" obstacle in this video. It's like a true high jump. A full wall of paper is the easy way because the cats have no option but to jump over 😉
So there will soon be a video with some great high jumps over a bar!
@@Maine_Coon_Adventures Sounds great! Some more ideas:
1) limbo crawling, how deep can they go without pushing the limbo bar away?
2) play fetch outdoors with one of their favourite toys. Will they bring it back to you or just look sad after it?
3) are they upright? Leave a piece of meat on the table and tell them not to take it. Will they steal it?
To 3: my Maine Coon mixbreed Maxi did it, he stole our stringy (at this time) half-raw beef filet from the kitchen table and ate it all alone, but i granted it to him. It was his 21st birthday. My vet told me that this behavior is typical for Maine Coon due to their strong muscles in need for energy. Ok, i made roast potatoes with scrambled eggs for me. He was such a cuddly old boy, loved him very much 😻 life with him was pure joy and bliss for me.

@@Maine_Coon_Adventures He made it to the great age of 26 1/2 years, and he was surprisingly healthy the whole 6 1/2 years he lived with me. Got him as a foster cat for his "last few weeks or months" but he blossomed up. He was depressed and apathetic after 4 years in the animal shelter. He opened his heart for me after some weeks at my home and became a real snugglebug. A 20 pounds snugglebug! Nobody wanted to adopt this old warrior with much battle scars from his hard life as a stray. His left ear was half missing, but for me he looked like a wise old man.

Yes, I'm proud of my cats and how the video turned out. It takes a while to train them to do all this stuff, but it's really fun too.
I will keep trying to make about two videos a week, so just keep your eyes open for new stuff.
Well, I wouldn't say that they are much more empathetic when I'm feeling down or sick. They stick to me a bit more but that might also be to get attention. It's nice that your cat does it that way 😺

Buster says it is easier to go up this way. That way I don't have to haul myself up that tall pole. He's a smart discerning kitty. Luna did a great job scurrying up that pole. Love discovering older videos before I "met" you and your wonderful kitties.

But it feels like I have seen your comments for a long time. What was the first video you saw on my channel?
@@Maine_Coon_Adventures It was after Luna had her kittens. Not immediately after, I think they were around 4 weeks old - getting around pretty good. Oh I remember it was the one when one of the kittens gout out of their room and Luna was chasing the kitten as he scampered around the house.
