I remember watching the series and thinking "it’s gonna be less authentic with new audio instead of the lost one" but instead you were so inspired, your humour went through the roof.
One of the most enjoyable playthrough i’ve watched on game grumps.
At 7:50 I like to imagine Ravio is trying to be suave and leans against one of the tables but he misses and just collapses to the floor

Same! Though it's a shame it'll won't be Dan's first reaction to it, as he mentioned playing it on his own time during Sonic Heroes (but said he'd love it just as much on the 2nd playthrough).

This was the first Zelda game I ever played and watching the series was like playing it for the first time again.

I think I prefer when Dan's playing simply because Arin seems to have more positive commentary and Dan getting frustrated is quieter.

this was definitely one of the most comforting series during the reunion tour
I find it hilarious that when Dan made the comment about rhinoceratops being a cool concept, I legit thought he was being snarky, then came to realize along with Arin that he wasn't and just had legitimately forgotten about the NSP song for a minute
I mean, it's kinda understandable since that song came out over 10 years ago, but still it's hilarious
The edits where Loafus walks through one door and ends up somewhere different are a nice touch

As someone who went through the process of not wanting kids at all, to kind of considering older kids through adoption, to realizing I'm better with babies than I thought, to realizing my only real mental barriers to wanting kids are pregnancy and money, to looking forward to my future as a menopausal adoptive millionaire mom, I am totally supportive of Dan's journey of love, fatherhood and self-discovery.

I went about three quarters of the way through this playthrough before realizing what they were actually referring to. In my defense, I hadn't watched any Game Grumps videos in a couple of years, so I wasn't aware it was their euphamism of choice to get around UA-cam's restrictions.

I still would really love to see Dan go through a Link to the Past randomizer, I think it could be a good series in quarantine for the times they can't get together, so long as Dan is able to record the window capture. Ever since they tried out Super Mario Bros 3 randomizer, I figured it could be a possibility, and for it not being a platformer/multiplayer, LTTP randomizer could be really good for long distance play/commentary.
I loved this playthrough, definitely the most comfy to sit back and relax to !

@@cmmartti I don't think they have, though there is the remake version of Link's Awakening that they can play if they wanted higher graphical fidelity.
I had played the Oracle series first as a kid and could never get into Link's Awakening cause it was slower, looked worse, and had worse controls and items compared to the Oracle games.
I try to draw while listening to these in the background. I dunno why I do, as I always end up devolving into laughter. xP
Babysat my nephew today, who had his first horrible, screaming, "oh, jeez, are you gonna pass out, kid" tantrum for me, and that made me have a panic attack, so this upload's like a nice bit of zen. I'll let the Grumps do my screaming.
