Congratulations !! I am 59 yrs old and have been hiking and technical climbing since 1973. I have climbed the Diamond Face on Longs other climbs in RMNP..Lumpy Ridge...Eldorado Canyon...Yosemite..Canada on Ice...Thank You for your excellent filming with narrative and no hectic spinning or jerking. Presently I am not able to hike or climb due to severe rhuematoid arthritis...so I feel like I am in the mountains with you. I also was a rock and ice climbing guide with CMS out of Estes Park years ago. Thanks Again for your Adventure Sharing 😁🏞🏕
58 and MELTZER!! not sure which is the bigger deal hahaha!! awesome.. too funny about the shirt got to love it... we were looking at it like /what?/ oops... beautiful hike down, huge congratulations- fifty-eight!! wow.
I have been watching for 3 years! The beautiful flowers the great scenery and the “Welcome back UA-cam nation” into is something that I loved every time I clicked on the video. I live in Colorado and being able to spend my time outdoors in the mountains is time that I have and always will Cherish! Mr Foor it’s been a great journey! 58 14ers is something that not many people in this world have yet to or will ever get to experience and I am glad you have shared this journey with us. It brings tears to my eyes to know that our favorite hiking professor won’t be uploading anymore new 14ers videos, but also makes me very happy for you and very happy that we can see and realize that anything is possible. You taught us to battle through pain and hard times(with your injury last year as well as your mother passing away) you also taught us to enjoy what we have cause we are only in this earth for a little while. You have also healed me as a person, your videos brung happiness to my heart and also brought me home to the mountains each video and I thank you for that. I hope this is just the beginning and hope completing the 58 14ers task opens up new possibilities for you. Once again outstanding job, and thanks for bringing us along for the epic journey!
I'm really grateful for your comment Cole. It's been a journey. Behind the scenes, the mental challenges have been incredibly difficult. You're right, it is about battling through and you need a team of people around you to support in the most difficult times.
Congratulations Dr. Foor! You inspire and motivate others far beyond the world of hiking. And I also have a treasured lifelong friend from the Meltzer clan. So glad Steve was able to share your celebration.
CONGRATULATIONS Dr. Foor!! You're the man! I'm at 39/58 right now and your work has helped and continues to help me so much. I'm gonna get there with your videos right there with me so I sincerely thank you for helping me to achieve my dream. Congrats sir, you deserve it!
The journey of 58 peaks began with a single step, probably many years ago, before you even knew you'd be climbing mountains. What a journey it must have been to have placed you at such awesome heights (both literally and figuratively.) Heartfelt congratulations, Brandon! We each have our own personal triumphs and I know this one is very dear to you. Wishing you many more! P.s. Happy to see Steve came out of "retirement" to share in the celebration with you.
Congrats Dr. Foor on an amazing accomplishment! Thank you so much for taking us along and sharing your adventures. You're an inspiration to me and many others from what I've read in the comments over the years. Bravo good sir!
Congratulations, it's a victory not many get to live out. Thanks so much for taking us on the journeys with you. Don't stop the videos. Tie to do all the 13ers....
What an accomplish! I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing the journey and watching the videos over the years. Watching you grow and develop as a hiker/mountaineer is an honor. I've completed 27 so far. I hope my finishing 14er is as enjoyable as watching yours!
Thank you Ryan! I'm thrilled to show the ups and downs, struggles and accomplishments. Nothing is a straight line. Before you know it, you'll be at 40.
Congrats on finishing a remarkable accomplishment. Evans looks less scary hiking up than driving!!! The videos of that are nuts. Hope we get to see more climbs. Stay safe and take care!!
Congratulations!!! Great to see Meltzer again. I struggled to the top of Mt Evans in a Ford F150. Bu then suffered from altitude sickness for 3 days, coming from sea level..
Congrats, man. I’ve watched most of your ascents and you certainly made it look easy. Great personal achievement. I’m with Steve and only have 2 under my belt. Long way to go. Keep the videos coming. There’s a gazillion 13ers out there.
Congrats on number 58!! It’s ironic to me bc Mt. Evans was the first and only fourteener I’ve hiked so far. Thanks for your videos. They give me a freedom and a sense of peace.
Congrats and great work! The scene on the summit gave me a good laugh. I love the energy. I have 6 more 14ers left and will most likely have a moment of hysteria on that final summit. Thank you for all the positivity! Cheers.
Brandon, you have no idea how much joy and inspiration your wonderful videos have given to so many of us, especially us fellow 14erers. (Wife and I are going to Bryce Canyon in November - purely driven by your video there!) Would you please, please do a video on (1) your gear choices and lessons learned, and (2) your training and lessons learned - they'd be invaluable. Still trying to fathom that four-peak 50 mile ultra you did a few weeks ago . . . good Lord. Many, many thanks for all you do!
I was there a couple weeks ago. Completely different with snow everywhere the peak was completely shrouded from view. Glad to see you had such gorgeous weather for your final 14er!
D.r. Foor! I never got to congratulate you on your Finisher accomplishment, until now. I Wanted to say "Thank You" for bringing your adventures into living rooms like mine. Most of all, Thank you for being a great inspiration. I'll never forget the day I ran across your YT video of you doing both "Crestones" in one day. was in awe and have been inspired ever since then. Living in Texas, it's been a challenge learning what it takes to do these 14ers, but I'm on my way in my quest....and partly thanks to you, Dr. Foor. Learned so much from your videos and have always appreciated your humility and willingness to help when asked. Extending a sincere and heartfelt congratulations to you. Most of all, proud to call you my friend 🇺🇸🙌🏻 #FoorYourSuccess
Lance, I really appreciate your comment. If there's one takeaway I want for all: extraordinary adventures and accomplishments can happen to ordinary people. Through training, hard work, physical and mental preparation, there is a joy that can be achieved in which even for myself, never thought was possible.
Congratulations on 58. I am from the NE and just finished my ADK 46er. Can't wait to climb some 14ers. Thanks for sharing your special moment. Well done!

Congrats! That is an amazing accomplishment! I summited five 14'ers in 2008. Even left some of my lunch on Mt Evans (altitude sickness)! Kinda happy that the mountain has a part of me on it!
I’ll also say you picked probably the best time of year to do that route. I did the sawtooth traverse and came down that in July and I felt like I was in the Everglades with how deep the mud was.

At 4:30 ... Dr. Brandon Foor activated his inner beast mode like you've never seen (or heard) before! Ha, so funny about the book. If I may ask, what was the book recommendation? 'Born to Run' came to mind when you mentioned the Zion run, but who knows ;-). Even the marmot got in on the "last 14er" action with a good pose. Congrats on your MASSIVE accomplishment. As you mentioned, you are blessed. I'm happy to have been following you this entire journey and can't wait to see what my favorite hiking professor gets into next. Take care my friend.
Thank you for everything Josh. I got big plans and I'll need your expertise. As for the book...it will remain anonymous because it's just a funny story and that's what matters.
What’s your personal favorite 14er? I’m going to do my first this summer. The only mountain I’ve ever climbed was Sandia Peak in NM. Congrats man. What a special moment. Wow! Thanks for sharing with the world.
Thank you for the lovely comment. Favorite has to be Evans because it was my last one and I celebrated with friends. Yet, if you're looking for a wonderful first 14er to hike: I suggest Huron. :-)
I wasn't expecting this. Congrats on the achievement but hopefully this is not a final episode. Plenty of great hikes that need to be completed and recorded by my favorite hiking professor. And oh, and when did you start wearing shorts?
Well done, Congratulations!!! Wished I was there to witness it. I think I heard your scream all the way to Pueblo lol jk. It was great privilege following your journey and inspiring me to hike the 14ers back in 2016 and beyond. Thank you so much and happy new year! Once you do a few, then you'll want more. You're welcome to follow my hiking journey on Twitter or Instagram. @FoorYourSuccess
congratulations brandon! You did it man! When you said those people didn't seem to appreciate your excitement I literally laughed. I feel happy for you man! Looking forward to watching more of your hikes! Where ever they may be! Speaking of the willows, why do they get such a bad wrap? every video I watched about the sawtooth traverse always bitched about how they refuse to do the willows lol! From what you showed here I don't seem to understand the sentiment most have! They make it seems like its a complete drag! One of the reasons why I opted out of doing the beirstat/evans combo via the sawtooth, in favor of the decalibron, when i was there a couple weeks back!
The willows are fine. Probably because it's an "out of the way" route to Evans and if not prepared, you can easily lose your way and get quite muddy. Congrats on your 14er success Eddie. I know more is to come!
@@FoorTrek oh ok, so i'm assuming the mud must be a thing in june/july and by september its gone? I do a lot of Hiking in the state of VerMud, so the willows are probably not even that bad by comparison given how dry CO is lol
Congratulations on the achievement! I've been going on camping/hiking trips with friends out to Colorado the past 3 years, and first stumbled onto your channel by watching your Manitou Springs Incline hike while prepping for my first trip (went looking on your channel for it and I can't seem to find it. Not sure if you took the video down, or my memory is serving me incorrectly). It's been fun seeing the beauty of the state, while also being able to use your videos as a reference for planning trips! I have 5 14ers under my belt (Blanca, Belford, Oxford, La Plata, and Longs) and was hoping to get Capital in this year, but decided on not traveling with COVID and all. I'm sure being away for a longer time will make my next trip out West even more enjoyable though! Looking forward to what's to come! Cheers from Wisconsin
Aw, I just did bierstadt yesterday ! Missed ya haha, hoping to get a few more in before snow season. Thanks professor! Nice shortcut, also, whats the mountain directly across evans and bierstadt, on the other side of the parking lot, is that a 14er?
@@FoorTrek Oh ok, I loved that video on Rosalie, very beautiful,, that was one you did i am enthusiastic for! Very cool. I liked the views on bierstadt. I think I'm going for quandary or pikes next weekend! Ill Do Rosalie before snow!

Have you ever considered The Lone Cone? Only about 12,500ish, but one of my favorites.
You mean "congrats on accomplishing all the 14ers" first right? LOL
congratulations brandon!
Congrats on the 5 you've got so far. One year, you'll come out and hammer like 30 or so in the summer. Thanks for the kind words Sam!
Congratulations. Quite an achievement. Next challenge?
Thank you so much!
Congrats. Quite an achievement!
Thank you!
Wow - all 58!! You have earned a PhD in Mountaineering!!!
That dissertation and defense was really hard. LOL
Congratulations! Btw, odd question... Have you ever hiked past Balanced Rock up Rampart Range Rd in The Garden of The Gods around sunrise?
Thank you Tony! Generally, I don't hike near Garden of the Gods. Not enough hills and lots of people.
Good job! I've done a few easy 14ers and was wondering if there were any ones you'd recommend to get better before doing Longs next summer?
Get some longer approaches in. Start with some difficult class two or easy class three. Lindsey is a good choice.
@@FoorTrek awesome. Thanks for the advice
Congrats, Dr. Foor
Thank you so much Rick!
THIS IS IT!!!
YES!!!
Congrats Man!!! Been following the channel for 4 years and have loved all your hiking videos. What’s next now that you finished the 58?
Thank you! Right now, I'm enjoying the moment, hiking, trailrunning, and appreciating the accomplishment.
Any plans for winter hikes in Arizona or fall hikes in Zion?
Yes, I am excited to get back to Zion for the fall. Working on my schedule to make it happen.
Aw, I just did bierstadt yesterday ! Missed ya haha, hoping to get a few more in before snow season. Thanks professor! Nice shortcut, also, whats the mountain directly across evans and bierstadt, on the other side of the parking lot, is that a 14er?
Thank you Jay! No, that's a 13er. There's a few in the area. In fact, you can see Evans while I'm on Rosalie peak in my video earlier this year.
@@FoorTrek Oh ok, I loved that video on Rosalie, very beautiful,, that was one you did i am enthusiastic for! Very cool. I liked the views on bierstadt. I think I'm going for quandary or pikes next weekend! Ill Do Rosalie before snow!
@@jaydub5011 The weather is looking good for theses hikes still. Be ready for wind.
@@FoorTrek appreciate the advice ! I figure when snow comes, I'll still do blodget, and close ones
You’ve done it my man!!
YES!!!

He's done it! :)
Yes I did!
Congrats Professor! What's next?
Thank you! Fun adventures for the fall...
What book did they suggest you read?
That's my secret and I'm not sharing. Sorry.
Nice work
I did Bierstadt and Evans on Aug 31 Nice Finish!!!
Congrats!
wow, great job!
Thanks!
On to the centennials?
Or high pointing??
Only 600 13ers in Colorado!
At lung last!
Congrats!
I see what you did there!
im a beginner when it comes to hiking, but Im capable, do you think I could do this with my gf?
You mean evans as a peak in the summer? There's shorter routes. Start with some trail hikes to get you in higher elevations.
