Great topic choice, Nick. The only things I would add are, make sure you capture these parties either yourself or by reaching out to photo and video vendors. Make sure to capitalize by passing out tons of business cards or shouting out your social media handle because these are the people who will book you instantly for their next event. Been loving your content man, keep it up!

Oh the irony in the fact that the Celine song you couldn't recall is "It's All Coming Back To Me Now". 😂🤣😂 Great video. I like the different perspective on a type of wedding/event that us DJs (like you suggested) might just "phone in"! 😎👍

I think post-Covid crowd reading is going to be a completely different beast.

If I can't see there's room for improvement or enhancement in everything I do, then I've lost focus on what I'm working towards. this is legit.

Got another video for you that I haven't seen done. I have one this weekend, the dreaded dry wedding. No alcohol.

The Celine Dion song you’re talking about is “ It’s all coming back to me now “.

Nick, I followed your advice last Saturday night. I usually play greatest saxophone hits during cocktail hour of even modern songs people know for background, I decided to scrap it and play the real songs, kept things upbeat and already maximized on a great crowd ready to party. It egged them on so much more like you said! People were dancing around during cocktail hour. After Intros, and during dinner I played Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and even Macy Gray's "I try"which were songs I heard as a kid on the radio, and people were belting them out. The dancing part, I took every chance. Started with nothing but what I would usually save till 2 or 3 hours into the night at the height of the party, earned their trust right away. So much fun! It gave me such an adrenaline rush taking this advice. Brought a SUB it as you suggested. Different things yield different results. This is all thanks to watching your videos and learning, your blogs have totally refreshed me as a DJ! THANK YOU!!! Best wishes and can't wait for more content!

When I meet with potential couple about their upcoming wedding I ask them a very important question. The question is did you attend a wedding recently and if so what is the one thing you can recall about that wedding? Let me tell you 99.99999% remember the DJ and the music he played and how well he did. If he was on the Microphone a lot they will ask my are you on the microphone a lot. I tell them I do my announcements that management may ask me but most importantly I do the all the intros and if there are any specific things the Bride and Groom want me to say and that’s it.
Then I ask them how was the food at that wedding most couples don’t even remember what they had to eat..
That’s when I tell them the most important part of your wedding that your guest will remember the DJ and the music he played for years to come. I also tell them if they book me as their DJ they are the Bosses, I listen to want they want me to do, but if it’s something I know that won’t go over well I would suggest something else to do..
