Nice review!! I just got the bag and I don’t love the 420D material. The bag is a tad big for EDC and contemplating sending it back for a refund. I like the CPL 16 better.
For true EDC with only infrequent travel would you recommend the ctb20 or the ctl24. I think I would miss extra pockets and luggage pass through on the ctl line but for my use case maybe?
The CTB26 would be a great one pack carry for a 3-7 day trip with 2 8L packing cubes and the CAP2 or similar tech/utility pouch , a pair of CAP1’s whereas you could get 1-2 days worth of output with the CTB20..it is a great EDC bag, for smaller everyday carry items rather than a long trip haul.
@@OneTakeEDCI think the CTB20 is a better option as a personal item with a carry on luggage due to its dimensions whereas the CTB26 is a bit too tight as a personal item. I only use a sling for my daily use but then again my needs may change over time
People always find something to complain about. This is an absolutely great manageable size compared to the 26. This bag wasn’t designed to be as an EDC bag primarily, thus the name CTB or Civic TRAVEL Bag. This was designed to be a Travel bag and not an EDC.
@@PanaMaJwaaRdbut That’s what I am saying… it’s not an EDC bag. It is marketed as a travel bag and I purchased it as intended. Not saying you can’t use it for EDC. Just saying people need to stop complaining it’s a thick bag knowing that the CPL line exists. I use an AER City Pack VX for EDC / Office use, which is slick and slim. And then a Tom Bihn Techonaut 30 for longer Air Travels. This one is a perfect Weekender bag as it is made for it.
just got mine in today and wanted to note two things. First just a cool thing the front pocket can fit an ipad mini pretty much perfectly if you put it in on its side. Second the steam deck case you are using seems pretty tall with the two sets of hinges, i use a Dbrand killswitch case and that fits flat just fine, the dband case is just expensive and doesn't fully seal against dust/debris. But I wonder if looking around for a different steam deck case may solve the issue for you. My current loadout in the main compartment is a steam deck with a cap 2 next to it and a travelers company notebook sitting on the front of the steam deck filling the available space pretty much perfectly even with a bottle. This bag pretty much instantly replaced my griffin cpl24 for edc. Also great video!
I just confirmed that the ctb20 fits my older touchbar 16" MacBook Pro so it should have no problem fitting the newer ones.
Awesome review. Returned my CTB26 2 weeks ago and got this one release day and delivered on 06/13/24. Pretty awesome and perfectly sized for EDC now.
Here from Reddit. Keep at it man, great video?

Fair enough!
Insane breakdown! Love the deep dive! Its a pretty great bag no doubt!
I get mine today! I hope it pairs well with my PLC20.

CTB20 might be perfect for EDC but it all depends on what you carrying..
very nice review! So excited to get mine soon!
Hope you enjoy it!
On which use case you would use the CTB26 over the CTB20? I have the CTB26 and I'm considering the CTB20 for other use case scenarios

I have the cob, it is ok for some office work, but a tad big, this should be the improved PLC20 with more organization

Yawn. Don't be disingenuous. You know its too fat for edc, and people are using it for edc regardless of name.

WHICH FABRIC DO YOU LIKE BETTER, THE CTB20 OR CPL 24?
@@JasonDranoff-f9c both are great in their own right, I never owned the regular CPL24 so can’t comment on that but the CTB20 is built great..

That’s such a good point with case !! I replaced my CPL24 Phoenix too and don’t miss it at all..
Are you the firt reviewing this one?
Hey, i use the exact same dispensers in the same position

Hi where did you get the carabiner and hand sanitizer bottle?
The carabiner is the large size Hero-clip, got it off of Amazon and the Hand Sanitiser bottle is from Orbitkey and I got it off of their website..
