I love this style. I'm so focused on my peace lately that I don't even want to be slightly inconvenienced by heavy, plastic extensions on my scalp. Definitely recommend this. It's a protective style and it's so comfortable you won't believe it.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one that does this with my hair. Never seen people do it but I love doing this style. It last longer and is easier to care for.❤️
@@zuzanasrbova2301 braid at the roots and put leave in conditioner at the ends to curl and if needed small jell or aloe Vera if you’re like me and hate jell
Rayann410 Not bad at all. 👍👍I usually keep my hair in two-strands, and depending on my level of commitment, it can take up to 8hrs to takedown, deep condition, and detangle them.
I ADORE YOU FOR THIS! Every time I look at the videos for this they always use weave and it looks good and all but I wanted to know what it would look like with just your natural hair. So thanks again hun I'll definitely be doing this! Plus you now have a new subbie!
This summer I plan to wear my in chunky cornrows. Like 2 to 6 cornrows. Depending on how much I'm up for braiding my own hair. 2 to 3 on lazy days 4 or more on my not so lazy days. And my cornrows usually lasts about 1 to 2 weeks
Thanks for this video I know it may be old but some people just want there natural hair done with out the added stress or tightness of weave I will be doing these as well.
I love it so cute! I use to wear my hair like this ALL the time in middle school. I'm transitioning now and have been wearing a wavy ponytail for a few months but I'm sick of it. I thought about how would I look as a grown woman with plaits and found this video. Thanks for sharing 😁
Well, I was thinking of doing my hair myself, in single braids...to save money, and my daughter hurts my head when...she ..does it. Lol So I googled, single braids, 4 your natural hair or so, and you came up. Thanks, this will be my summer/if not longer, new hairstyle 😊
I usually do twists but I feel like changing it up. I like this hairstyle because during the week I don’t have to do much. Super practical and still looks good. It’s really cute on you. ✨
I'm going to try this. I am 4c and embrace frizz. Lol My mom did this when Inwas a kid but really tiny and my hajr was natural and super thick it took forvever to take out. Looks beautiful on you!
I've been doing this to my hair every week for the past 3 months or so and I'm new to transitioning (the first time I tried I failed miserably) and this is the first time my hair grew and stayed strong at the edges. I've been using cheveux noirs, softee Indian hemp, and softee argen oil styling gel when I braid. It's doesn't look nearly as good as yours but I've gotten used to looking strange because it helps so much. I look like a spider the day after I'm done and it chills after I've done my daily rinces. But it would be nice if it didn't do that in the first place. Maybe I'm just using too many products? Or maybe it's because my damaged hair is still longer than my natural hair. Idk. Maybe I'll try using one product this time.
StarMarcie Do it when it's wet, after you're done with your treatment for washday. Use styling gel and grease Braid them as tightly as you can Twiral the ends likes she does in the video They're still going to unravel as the week goes on if you rinse your hair everyday like I do but I'm not great at doing hair, braid especially, so you might have better luck than I will 😅 hope that helps
I'm doing this hairstyle this summer. I didn't know what to do with my hair and I'm about to start a new job and I don't want to be worrying about my hair on a day to day basis so this will be my go-to. Thanks for the video
My bff just sent me your link, and now I'm a new subscriber. I have natural hair, and really don't know what to do with it, so I keep braided. Hopefully your channel can give me some ideas. This looks really good on you, but I know I wouldn't be able to do it myself.
I have been French braiding my hair are do a headscarf/turban my hair stays so moisturized and it looks so cute and it only takes about 3 minutes once you get it down
You did pretty good on them lol. I just finished doing my braids, I wouldn't call them box because I would finger part and some would come out bigger than the others.
I thought I was the only one braiding my hair without weave and curling it at the ends. I did learn how to part it in 4 sections because otherwise I would just start in the front instead of the back. I used to use the weave for length until It grew as long as the weave, so now i just box braid it but mine is not as neat and as nice as yours because I am always in a hurry and I dread taking them down, so I don't braid them too small. I also have s problem with my hair being white at the roots. Im not old but my hair is. I wear my hair in braids under a scarf or a wig, mainly a scarf because I don't have a wig that will fit my head lol. but that alright, tell em' toots. Say that's alright! I will be making my own wig because I don't want to cut or color my natural hair.
Lovely! How long did you let them in? I’m thinking of doing the sane hairstyle as I’ll be swimming a lot with summer, do you thinj they’ll last a month?
Wow your mini braids are not few not making the hairstyle scalpy..there's a lotta volume, been reluctant to do mini braids cz am a mini twist girl and they never fail on me..il have to try these. Thanku.
Just did this after taking down My cornrows and swimming just used some leave in and oils and it looks amazing but mine are a bit bigger thx for the inspo
Soo.cute❤️❤️so neat❤️❤️😊❤️please any technique on how to unbraid 😢😢😢I tried it once but the take down was 😫😫😫😫i love them but i hate the take down 😫😫😫😫
I live in the south as well. I totally understand the heat factor. I have 4C hair and wear a lot of protective styles. I usually do mini twists. The braids are really cute though. Were they hard to take out?

I did this on my daughter’s hair and it lasted about 7 weeks. I did wash her hair about 2 times within that time. She loves it and I do too!😊
mrsjusttobeme1 wow that’s pretty good
How was the take down process
@@gutgutcalor9095probably just like taking down knotless braids but way easier cause no extensions are used
My mom used to do these for me when I was little I’m glad they’re coming back😀🤗
Same! I always requested she did this style because I always felt elegant and feminine. 😍
@@AutumnStardustyup, versatile, it's simple and nice. 🙂
winn. ! I’m 15 and still do this style 😄 can see the growth already
Right. My mom would do it with the multi colored beads.
Same! Anything but my mom brushing my hair every morning with tears in my eyes
That style really fits you💕
thank you curlfriend!😘 girl this about to be my go-to so I can save time getting ready in the morning lol
That feeling when you're done 😝
girl!😂no greater feeling lol
And then you see u messed them up 😡
I would have all of 10 braids on my head without extensions 😂
My exact thoughts right now!!!! Lol

@@zuzanasrbova2301 braid at the roots and put leave in conditioner at the ends to curl and if needed small jell or aloe Vera if you’re like me and hate jell
Do you feel like it helps retain length? I just put some in last night and they’re just around bra strap length so I’m worried about breakage 😣
Super cute! I wish my hair wasn’t so fine so that i could pull this off
I don't even want to THINK about the takedown time...... Ugh.
lol it wasn't too bad. got it done over a course of 2 days (4hrs total)

I choose a movie or a tv show I can binge, sit down and do it, when I realized I'm already done.
it takes me 8 days
Beautiful...i would keep it way longer than 2 weeks!!!
thanks curlfriend! I wanted to keep it longer so bad after how long it took, but the humidity here had my hair super frizzy within 2 weeks lol
Yeah I'd kip 2 to 3 months ,rebraiding in between ofcourse
@@eftg3450 that's a really good idea!
