Hi guys, how are you today?
Back again on my youtube channel..
Now I will explore one of the historical heritage places. This is Goa Gajah which is located in Bedulu Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency. The distance from
Denpasar to Goa Gajah is 27km , Takes about 30 to 40 minutes by driving from the city to get to Goa Gajah.
Guys, the word Goa Gajah comes from the words LWA and ELEPHANT. Lwa means river and Gajah means Elephant (elephant). Basically Goa Gajah means Elephant River. From the past until now Goa Gajah has been interpreted as a historical relic with elephant carvings, statues, on the banks of the river.
The name Goa Gajah itself is taken from the book Negarakertagama written by Empu Prapanca in 1365 AD. Goa Gajah was built around the 11th century AD during the reign of King Sri Bedulu which at that time coincided with the heyday of Majapahit led by Hayam Wuruk.
Well,let's follow me around
