Is it ok to add your fiber spacer on both sides of the original worn clutch brake so it grips a little more and it is not metal on metal on the orginal clutch brake, what thicknesses do these fibers come in? Thank you

Thank you for your question! Technically, adding a fiber spacer to both sides of the clutch brake is okay for a short term solution.
The amount of wear that you are compensating for indicates there may be a bigger problem as additional wear is likely present in the system. It is recommended that you check the flywheel as well as the input bearing retainer to see if replacement is needed.
The fiber spacer is only available in 1/8”.
There needs to be ½” to 9/16” between the release bearing and clutch brake at all times to ensure proper clutch release/function. Please keep this in mind if you decided to use a second fiber spacer for a short term solution.

@@clearlake2369 The fiber spacer installs on the input shaft against the input shaft bearing retainer before the clutch brake!

@@RoadChoice Hi does the fiber clutch brake spacer go to the rear of the existing split clutch brake or to the front as viewed front, I.E. front of vehicle. Thank you.
