- Support my music on Patreon: / yuriwong A tour of my home studio, which is a combination of hardware and software workflows. Logic Pro X is my DAW of choice. I can compose and arrange DAWless using my hardware equipment only and then transfer the results to Logic for further editing and mixing. Fully in-the-box productions for film scores and soundtrack work are also possible, as Logic hosts my orchestral and other sample libraries from Spitfire Audio, Native Instruments and more.

If only I was younger…. I am so glad that you get to do what I was never able to do, it is so inspiring. Thanks.
I don't we are ever too young to make music..
Those Sub37 bass lines you have been making are _french chef kiss_
What aspects of the studio/workflow would you like to know more about? Lemme know!
I’m just amazed with your multiple musical talents and abilities …
When I look at people who actually make music, I don’t see nearly as many boring Elektron boxes. People get excited about dawless setups, but who cares unless you’re doing something with a little personality? My dawless setup is a CDJ, Volca Bass and a TR-606. And random reverb/delay/loopers. Anything I add to it is going to be fun, like a Yamaha SU10 or anything else I saw on a Bad Gear episode.
Speaking of this channel, I played that Gorlami live jam track for a bunch of ravers while the sun was coming up at a Boris Brejcha after party last month and it was a good vibe.
I always wondered what you used to craft such memorable tunes! Thank you for sharing your setup!
What I love about DAWless, is that it generates video content. I find that 20 hours of DAWless time, makes 18 hours of video, where 20 hours of DAW time gives me a five minute audio file, that still needs a video.
Never thought of it that way. Interesting perspective.
@@yuriwongmusic this is the hard part for musicians to wrap their head around. I don't write albums, the UA-cam video is the "original". A new video is always coming next week.
Love your work Yuri. Your music inspires me to have more fun in my music making. Was fascinating to see your gear and workfkow. Thanks!
Awesome Yuri
Super cool!
was struggling to figure out how to use my monitors for both my dawless setup and my daw setup (without needing to have my computer on to use the external synths)... thanks for answering that!
Nice to see and hear the actual genius! :)
You're underrated.
Love the channel. Thank you for sharing! :-)
Very cool
As a studio owner myself: I dig your setup!
You did a great Blackbox advertisement :) If I was doing DAWless, I'd buy it.
It's not without it's flaws (some features feel not 100% finished and you have to work around it) but it works when you set it right.
Sweet set up. I'd love to one day hear a "The Grid" Tron like song from you. I think its fits the style, just an idea :D
I did not understand much that was talked about in this video, but I am still fastinated by all these buttons and knobs. :D
Synthesizer heaven ... i'm just a dude who plays another dude disguised as another dude ...
Awesome place! What would you recommend as one and only keyboard? I recently started learning to play guitar and it would be nice to have a keyboard too, mostly to play something along with the guitar. Ideally something with the looper to be able to play some choards on the keyboard and than loop it and play over it on a guitar. Also it should be a synth, to be able to play without a computer.
I prefer analog things though I don't have anything to do it with, besides my synthesizer

Yes, we want more videos like this. Like: what would you recommend for a beginner "must-have" setup? I have a disturbance in my head about which setup I need which compatible devices to connect them to each other. (Sorry for my bad English) For example, I have a MacBookPro with Logic Pro and with an AKAI lpk25 midi. I want to buy a proper monitor set. If I buy an Adam a5x, in this case, what other device(s) do I have to buy for them to connect it together?
To connect the Adams to your system, I would recommend getting a simple audio interface, some suggestions for brands would be Audient, Focusrite, Behringer (good for limited budgets). And if you can't afford an interface, I suggest maybe even getting a 1/8" trs (aux) to split mono RCA or XLR cable to connect your MacBook directly from the headphone port to your monitors. But if you have the budget yo get A5xs, then definitely budget for a decent audio interface, and decent cables (most ppl forget to budget for cables).
I hope this helps!
How do you keep your studio so clean? I feel like dust would get EVERYWHERE with such a setup. How regurlarly do you need to clean everything up?
I thankfully live in a low-dust area, but when it does get dusty I just use a big makeup brush my wife gave me to brush off the dust from all the surfaces !
Thats so dope. Is it possible to do a "The Fast and The Furious" song ?
There's one on the channel! It's called "I Got Family" :)
This is your Home Studio right? Give us Work Studio tour!
That's more boring , no? All the gear is at home! Haha
@@yuriwongmusic ish kesian opis
I dont get it, why do you have two mixers?
The Bluebox is for mixing my synths and guitars (also for recording them and for FX sends) and the Mackie is as a monitor controller and also input for mics and 1/4" gear (the Bluebox has no XLR inputs, but does have stereo 1/8" TRS inputs which is useful). Hope that helps!
