Very nice set, blending is on point and nice recovery at 25:35 almost slip but very nice recovery. I don't get why ppl diss DJ who used DJ software. I started with vinyl only then transferred into cd and moved to serato DJ. Using software doesn't make a bad DJ, if some ppl like to drag 2-4 crates to play at party good for u, I can carry 10 times more in a external drive and still do a great job and keep my clients happy!!! Good job, great vibe keep up the house music live, to me house is eternal, would it love a variety of house styles it would make it sound that much sick and at the same time teach ppl that house is a spiritual thing only some can truly understand what this means!!!!

The best era in underground house. I never went to dance clubs or anything, but this type of music totally rocked my world in "Club Bedroom" back in the day and still does.

I bought it from my friend DJ Sharin' Beatz (Lucas) back in 2000 in Minneapolis. I was just learning how to spin vinyl then. He was selling some wax he really didn't spin anymore. He had set aside a couple of crates for sale, one dollar a record back then. I pulled a few gems out of a lot of gems in those two crates :)

This is seriously one of the best, 'smooth' house mixes I've found on UA-cam. I mean, I love my Timmy Regisford, my Tony Humphrey, etc., but this here mix is just perfection. 34:16- ...Wepa!!
Tony Humphries and Frankie Knuckles were masters at this. They both knew sound and incorporated many things in their mixes to make music exciting and want to listen to. Sometimes they would have as many as 3-4 songs going on at once which made it great! This guy is good, but no variety.

I agree with you Lyn 1000%! I enjoy looking at DJS doing his or her thing live. And especially NOT depending on Traktor or Serato and a laptop computer. Doing your mixes old school style by your ears and hands really shows what you know!
Not to mention, vinyl DJs really have to know their music to know how and when to mix in/out. Not slamming the newer generation per se but when you rely on sync functions on a laptop, you're not really "mixing", you're just selecting the songs.

Beautiful memories of spinning in my buddies grammas basement in the late 90's early 00's. We would mix ghetto house, acid house, deep house, electronic house, techno, hardcore, you name it! Hot Jams on Pulaski Rd Chicago, IL had a legendary selection at the time.
Used to mix back in my home town in my mates spare room with his Technics 1210's. He had a huge flat above the Natwest bank 😆👍

I feel sort of sorry for kids these days... I mean I know they have music and stuff.... but this was something else, something new to us back in the day. So glad I was aware that what was happening was special when it was happening. They wont know or experience what some of us did back in the 90s.... back in those warehouses, parking garages, and house parties.... It was like the 20s met the 60s push into the future. Wow!
