I love your video and will be adding it to my deviance classes supplemental materials list here in the US. Great work!

What do you base your first statement on? To my knowledge certain groups are overrepresented in violent crime. I know of similar data from Denmark etc. Though I would say that this may be overdramatized by certain moral entrepreneurs. Otherwise a decent introduction to the topic.

Great topic. But get your audio sorted out, dude. Don't use a camera mic (or a phone mic), ever, especially indoors. You need to get the mic closer to you (use a boom to place the mic above the frame, or use a lavalier) so you can reduce the gain and avoid reflections. It's not a huge investment, and it will make your presentation look way more professional.

Hey Denis! Thanks for the feedback. If I've understood reflection correctly, I think the cause maybe the room I film in - a conservatory with little furniture - so it has an echo. I actually use a lavalier mic (it's attached to my shirt in the video) so i don't think that's the cause. I'm not 100% clear on what gain means but i know i can reduce it when editing and will give it a try on future videos. I'm always looking to improve the quality of the vids so any tips are much appreciated.

Do you actually believe that by pretending that African American men don't have an epidemic of violence perpetrated mostly by and against themselves (51% out of 6%) that you are being more kind towards black people. Of course you could look at the criminology statistics which show this not to be the case, but I would be interested in knowing what other reasons you would have other than the underlying assumption that this is just somehow inherent to African American people which makes it Not nice to speak about, This is one of the most racist assumptions I think I've heard in the century. Is there something I'm missing here?

You'll note from the video I'm referring to crime stats in the UK. I'm not sure about your references to African Americans or what your 51% out of 6% stat is indicating? All the info in my videos is from credible Sociologists and research organisations. What are you missing? I'm not really following your point tbh and don't understand how you've reached your conclusion...

hi, great video! I was just wondering if you had the references for the quote you stated at the start by Dr Clive Nwoka ‘a constant state of MP about black youth’

Hi Fatima, here's the link - www.lse.ac.uk/News/Research-Highlights/Society-media-and-science/urban-myths - the LSE website had lots of articles by Dr Nwonka 👍
