Ofc some retail traders are better. They have many advantages, including: 1. Time to study and practice, 2. Ability to not trade, 3. Trading fast growing microcap stocks, 4. Trading any stocks in any sector and industry they wish, 5. Trading over any timeframe they wish, 6. Taking a break, regrouping and developing a new strategy and only re-entering the market when they wish. However, retail traders are too often unrealistic, poorly trained as you say, and under capitalized.

Retail traders can only be as good or better than “ professional “ traders as long as they are trained by experienced traders , retail or professional ... The reason why so many retail traders fail is because they are not trained properly .. Having said that , I also believe that there is a difference between a professional trader who trades the bank’s clients’ money versus an experienced trader who is trained by another experienced trader and trades his own money .. I will take any experienced trader who trades his own money successfully over a professional trader who has ONLY traded the clients’ money ..

I guess depend on of your mentor, and how much passion you have, because most of the retail traders start because of money, but when you have passion for the trade, you always can find more information for being more successful. I start trading 1 year ago and I'm a have a lot of experience on it as a retail trader. And I can say being a retail trader is more exhaustive emotional because is your own money and your emotions are mots the time your enemy at the moment when you want to take your trade or open any position.

A retail trader has access to the same tools and education. The difference is, will they enforce money management rules. If they will, and prevent so much damage before they beat the learning curve they'll do fantastic but most will nuke their accounts first

The goal of the course is to apply a professional approach to your retail account. I've been working my way through the course since August last year. It's a great course but it is difficult. Lot's of spreadsheets and hours each week need to be sunk into building your portfolio ideas. Personally I think it's worth every penny. But you will have to put in the work.
