Sunghoon really liked Jake from the very beginning as he’s a great guy and they got on so well, I do think he felt very hurt when Jake later became close with Heeseung. But I think Sunghoon’s inability to speak English probably didn’t help because for Jake being able to communicate on a deeper level with someone in English would mean a lot to him. Also they’ve both changed and matured over the last 3 years, Jake will turn 21 soon. Edit : I’ve realized that Jake and Sunghoon are now actually very close again, they room together on trips and spend their free time together. Also sometimes those ‘HeeJake’ videos were misleading because even though at one stage Jake was closer to Heeseung he was still friends with Sunghoon. But now Jake and Heeseung are no longer close, something changed between them about 8 months ago so they don’t interact in a personal way anymore at all, unlike in the past, now they’re just act like fellow members in the group. Which has allowed Jake and Sunghoon to become close again.
