Would be nice if we could capture him and put him on display, but adult wild tarantulas do not do well in captivity. #spiders have feelings too

Probably. It was middle of night, and only 10 meters or about 30 ft from heavy cover of appropriate habitat for a spider that size, so he probably found a good spot. I only wished him luck cause it seems he may have gotten used to the good life in my frame shop, but can't just have him walking around in the open. I'd feel pretty bad if I stepped on him 🫢
