Thought for you... consider a nonmetallic biodegradable injection molded glucose-cellulose-based hollow floating hook. Broken off hooks readily dissolve in hours leaving fish to rapidly heal. Hollow hook shaft creates positive bouyancy. Consider this thought a gift. Just kindky send me one to try if you make them. No more rusty dull hooks.
Amazing footage, Tony! I wish our water over here on the East Coast could be as clean. What a mixed bag of fish and super cool to see a Spotted Eagle Ray!
That underwater cam is stunning! The clarity of the water is top notch! Our beach water is not at all as clear, or as warm,,, I am getting the itch to travel and fish. Ironically, headed tomorrow to a surf perch tourney up the coast on Saturday. Loving the surf fishing!
Great video - reference material class for understanding whats going on at the other end of the rod. Thank you! I believe all those pompanos that had a look but didnt take the bait were put off by the exposed hook and bad presentation of the bait. If the baot was threaded through with only the tip and barb exposed, they would have gone for it in my opinion.
personally, ive been absolutely killing with it, i just picked the habit up after i took my first batch out and got so busy catching things i couldnt get my gear sorted out for the day!
I don't get it. I'm near Venice FL and even out on Sharky's Pier we don't catch shit. Just a bunch of small throw backs. I've worked the Boca pass at 30-75ft depths and only caught grouper at 10" and had to throw back. Going ten miles out and you have to hunt for a group of fish on sonar and they are still too small. 30 miles out is a long haul for a small boat on choppy days. What is your magic?

Sir, KUDOS! I am in total sync with you on your innivative hook float. BRILLIANT !
Look forward to be customer #1 to buy it.
Again, Sir, KUDOS !
The little fish is a Lilly Lu fish that sits in a pepper patch all day and swims backward at night to cool its tail.
Very nice video!!
So the fish gum with bait is best gum for sent and what ever bait for visual and god willing hook up.
If you’re testing that float stuck on your hook, I’d call it a fail.
Great video, though. Thanks Tony.

Very cool. Did you say you're using a size 12 circle hook?
