The way David hits the drums...I miss him so much. Ray might be a better drummer if we talk about technique, but he'll never make Korn sound as huge and groovy as David did.
It's true. I've totally accepted Ray - and he's gotten better on the groove of the band thing over the years, but still, everyone has their own feel, and David's was a better for this gig - as much as I hate to say it. That said, saw 'em this summer and they still killed it, and Ray brought plenty to the table.

I commented on no phones at an older gig on UA-cam last year and got battered by people for saying it. At least someone else remembers the good ld days of being able to watch bands not through other people's screens. It takes a lot away from a show to just have arms raised in the air holding phones. We get some good footage sure, but it really isn't worth how it impacts the shows whilst you are there.
I have to partially disagree, Luzier put such an edge to the sound that I can't imagine Korn without him. Sounds like a contradiction because Silvera is and will be the original drummer forever.
DAMN! I miss David when i see this!! I think Ray is amazing and he deserves his spot in Korn BUT David made Korn sound like Korn! I was just watching a video with Korn live in 2018/2019 and there is a huge difference! When Brian left, the heavy Korn guitar sound left with him, and when he joined the band again it came back, it's the same with David when he left and so did the groove. Korn isn't Korn without all the members! David, we need you! But you need to be humble and put your feet on the ground! Korn should stop being so hurt, so Korn and David should make up so we can get back the OG Korn sound at least a few years before this ride is over! Ray is great but all i miss is the Hip hop influenced groove!
I don't think we'll get that original Korn sound again. Especially not with the shit David's pulled in recent years. Korn's matured past their original sound, and for better or worse that means David is gone for good
I don't think he wad feeling cold if he does it at every concert, I don't know why but he does it everytime. I know your comment is 3 years old but still.
Excellent gig, they're really going for it and it's a good crowd. You can see the band and audience feeding off each others energy. Jonathan's vocals and the band are just severe, brilliant.
this discussion gets boring or is it just about likes ... both drummers have their qualities, so why comparing them, it's another era with Ray, and a fxxx good one, I have no complaints what-so-ever
3:29 Fieldy breaks a string. His most important string. He must have been playing pretty aggressively to break it three and a half minutes into the show. David took over and made up for it right away though. I sure do miss him. Hopefully whenever they are inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame we’ll get the chance for them to share the stage for one last time.
Amazing as always! Im going someplace to see them pretty soon. I need a road trip and definitely need my korn fix after the last couple of deadly years!

It's rare seeing singers sound 100% the same live as in the studio. Jon's a beast
