Thats usually how it goes. On screen cannon ships are usually forced for the storyline. Generally the characters don't mesh well if they are in a written on screen relationship
In the first season Kara and James had chemistry. Kara was more insecure and James more humble. When became more of a macho who needed to protect his ego. Kara had grown and Lena never stood behind a man. Lena needs a partner at her emotional and/or intellectual level, based on mutual respect. James is none of those things. The were the biggest mismatch in TV history in my opinion.
Reminds me of the animated series ship Korrasami. (Supercorp has a lot of Korrasami parallels, even the red and blue colors.) Both Korra and Asami tried dating a guy named Mako, but barely had any chemistry with him. They ended up in love with each other by the end of the series.
@@Montesama314 I am not sure I agree that that they didn't have any chemistry with Mako, the problem was more that he was acting like a total jerk towards them. I would compare him more to Mon-El than James, Mon-El and Kara had great chemsistry IMO (well they are married IRL so no surprise there) but he was such jerk that I just couldn't get behind their relationship.
Am I the only one who is reminded of Asami Sato whenever I see Lena? Like she's the human form of Asami. Or maybe I have watched too much of Korrasami videos lately
Yup. Totally. And you can also see all the parallels of Kara to Korra (even their freakin' NAMES). Also to Swan Queen. Supercorp is known as baby Swan Queen ;)

I'll always love the idea of Kara and Wynn, but this video allows me to see Kara and Lena. Very beautifully done. Of course, the music from Up is a tear jerker in itself. But without the right video editing, I am sure it wouldn't have been as powerful. Well done.
