- On our 2005 Audi A4 Avant Ultra Sport (B6), we've had the front struts, control arms, bump stops, bushings, front disk rotors and pads replaced with new parts. We also had a front end alignment performed. So how does it feel after the repairs were complete? Watch this video to find out!

I enjoyed the video. Decisions about whether to invest in an older vehicle are always so difficult. We have a 2008 Audi A6 V6 Quattro. The A6 has been a great car and still looks good. However, it is getting up in mileage and age. I was actually thinking recently of replacing the front suspension components, but had to instead invest in a carbon cleaning and new intake headers. Your video has me thinking again about replacing the front suspension components. I think you are right that you don't realize how the suspension components are wearing out. Hopefully, if we do invest in new front suspension components, the improvement in the ride will be noticeable and we will also think that the investment was worthwhile.
The new suspension was very noticeable to me and my wife and we feel it was a worthwhile investment because we really enjoy this car. So that is a personal decision, will you continue to enjoy your 2008 for a while longer to make that investment worthwhile? Only you can answer that. But for us, it was the right move. The uniqueness of the wagon body, it is a manual, plus no car note. It made sense for us.
@@Joe_Hutchinson Thanks for your reply. Our decision is complicated by the fact that our A6 has an automatic and the transmission fluid has never been replaced. I tried to get the dealer to replace the fluid at 90K, but the dealer said it is not recommended as it is should be "good for the life of the car". However, no one really knows what the life of the car really means (lol). My willingness to invest in the car is always tempered by my transmission concern. My independent mechanic says "don't change the fluid at this point. Wait to see if a problem develops". The A6 transmission does not seem to be an area of concern. Perhaps, I should not worry about it.

I am so glad we got if fixed. Even if we get something new for my wife later on, we are going to keep this car.

Audi suspensions are usually tuned for confort. I wouldn’t mess with that. I’ve gone through a few 3 series and they are bumpy specially with the M Sport package

It's part of the reason why she doesn't want to give up the car. Very few manuals with four doors being sold anymore and probably no wagons.
@@Joe_Hutchinson 95% of cars in Ireland are manual. Autos are getting popular now though.

Bilstiens are NOT STIFF i dont know who told you that. Even Konis are NOT stiff. KW coil overs also are NOT stiff.
Only shitty ebay coils or stone age shitty companies have bad suspension
