Malaysian owner here. Mine is 2006 version with 1.6 L Mitsubishi engine 4G18 . I agree with the handling . Btw Impian used the same chassis with Volvo S40 which coming from Mitsubishi Charisma.
I own this car.. 18year already ... The engine very realible... Never repair... Just made a normal maintainne.. But, got issue with fuel pump, 3 time change. And broke a door handle..
I like the name Proton but again they look ugly I need to do better in engine sizes and I bet you the road tax is about 250 quid a year I think they got a long way more to go yet for somebody other than old people to buy them.
