Great upgrades. I’m an hour from the coast and there is no way I’d ever run my RCs on the beach. I see all the videos and don’t understand how many people do it.
You may want to consider giving the surfaces that were previously rusty a quick wipe with some rust preventing oil or quick drying lubricant. Since the Black oxide coating is gone it's much more likely that those will rust again in the future.
Did that rc come from someone who lives near the ocean? It just looks like someone's kid ran it at the ocean and didn't realize how corrosive salt water is.
@@AMPROEngineering yes, I saw the first video I've never seen anything like it especially on such a high end rc. Good luck I'm sure it'll last longer in your care.
Personally, I enjoy the videos of repairing or assembling RC cars. I watched with interest.👍👍👍
Those are my favorites also!
People ask me why I don't buy a UDR, this is a great example of how people don't rebuild UDRs they just sell em.
Technically he didnt sell it to me. He threw it out and I got it from the trash pile.
@@AMPROEngineering Thanks for further proving my point 👍🤑
You did a nice job reviving that truck Alberto 👍🏻
Thank you! It was cool to bring it back to life.
Nice resto on that one! I just got one very similar on trade, driven in wet sand beat to hell and then just put away for everything to rust up.
It is insane how the salt water just trashed it. Its been great ever since though!
Nice resurrection of a well loved UDR!
So well loved....
Excellent vid as always. Really like the way UDRs handle. They look so cool. Good job on fixing this one.
They are really fun to drive and I love the details on them.
Great video!
Thank you, I was happy to get it back on the road!

I run them there a lot but I stay away from the water! Man, the salt destroys them...as you can see.
I think it looks like a real desert runner with all that “patina”
It sure does. I am just happy to see how well it runs now. It was a wreck when I started.
Awesome!
Thank you!

Oh for sure. I actually have a spray specifically for that. I use it on my tools too. I should have shown that since it works awesome.
Get Hot Racing sway bars, they help a lot at turning with decent speed. Makes you roll less.
I did end up getting some and they do help!
You need to fill the front and the center diffs completly with diff fluid of your choice.
I had forgotten the center diff. I did end up filling the front one about a month ago too since I didnt realize they needed more.
Is there a link to the Orange Axle housing? TIA
Not any more. That vendor has changed.

No he lived near me but it seems when he was there , he only drove in the water....did you see part 1? Uhg....man that was bad.
