I smile like an idiot every time I see the boys lift the cup. I'm so proud of what this team overcame and has accomplished and I'm glad the management trusted in Coop and the core and didn't blow the team up in the offseason last year. Let's do it again next year boys, the fans want to be at the game to see it this time.

We've already lost Bogosian, Shattenkirk and Verhaege. Bogo was a surprise - we offered him a contract for more money but he went to Toronto anyway.

@@ihavenoname3014 I agree & in previous years, for whatever reason I didn't really appreciate those moves after championships as much. But then I remember Maroon joined the Lightning. He wasn't present when the Blues had their ring presentation. He wasn't there when the Blues stood shoulder to shoulder & the championship banner was hoisted to the rafters. I thought then how not just for him but the few others that left, it didn't seem quite fair for those missing those events with their brothers. At least this year, as screwed up as it's been, he'll be with his Lightning family for those events.
Successfully defending title and we will do it again with the 3peat!

as a canadian born fan living in southern ontario the whole damn time for 46 yrs, following the game since '80 i can say yah times, the business and the game have changed. factoring in the salary cap i think TBL '20 was a salary-cap dream team. just great american-style risk taking going after coleman and goodrow, giving up 1st round picks with a belief that BG and BC could help y'all get to mount olympus. just believing in the core and in coach cooper.
prior to that imo it all started with mr. vinik taking over the team and just providing the resources and goodwill within the community to grow the support and the team's chances for success. 😁
TBL has a great reputation around the league in that they try to hire good, qualified ppl and try to treat such people right. i was even thinking they should get rid of stamkos to open up cap $$$ and plus TBL proved they could win without him. till now (nov 10) haven't heard one peak-a-boo that TBL is going to get rid of stammer.
oh by the way i saw pictures of the jetski celebration by the players off the hillsborough banks. kinda unique but hey that's well earned and it's tampa style celebrating.
frm here there's still lots of questions to be answered with RFA's and the salary cap. but i think y'all will be able to be competitive bcuz of 2 reasons. gm brisebois and your main squeezes (point, kuch, vasy, hedman, stammer) are signed long term. ok pointer's gon need a raise in 2 years lol. oh about pointer i love his game and think with continued development he could be the next bergeron.
all that said congrats TBL org and fans on your cup win! really enjoyed the hard work TBL showed in '20 to get over the last 5-6 yrs of frustration to win the stanley cup!! while i'm not a leafs fan (i'm a DET fan), trust me, ppl here in southern ontario that cheer for the leafs would DIE to have the resources and success y'all have had. take that to the bank.

It was this moment. I knew we were winning the cup. Stamkos scoring like that was magical. It really felt like it was the cup winning goal but in game 3 (you know what I mean). I hope we get to watch them celebrate again ⚡️
