- I'm building a workbench to improve efficiency in the shop. I'm sick of hunting down tools and this will solve the problem.

Excellent build! Been building for years, and a corner workbench is always the best choice down the road!
Nice design. I did use this for a small workbench and it worked out better than any other approach I've used and I didn't use 'any' brackets, kept the cost down. Thanks for sharing.
finally someone that builds like me and just uses plywood for the top which is plenty storng and a lot better than gluing 100 2x4 together for price
EXACTLY Freestyl!!
That depends what you’re using the bench for :) im a car mechanic and im going to use 3 2x8 togheter. So if I accidently hit the table with a hammer it wont gp through
Thick particle board works really good also, and It makes for a nice heavy (read stable) workbench! It’s always funny to me to watch people spend a year of their life gluing, clamping, and then routing/planing a truckload of 2x4’s for a worktop! I guess it’s an “elitist” thing! Ha!
VERY GOOD JOB MY BROTHER YOU GAVE ME SOME GOOD IDEAS WATCHING YOU ..THANKS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK..TAKE CARE AND BE SAFE...
What I learned from seeing a lot of experienced cabinet shops is the importance of having a large( preferably 4X8) center work bench and to cover it with thick stock . Its used to map-out and assemble projects having all around access. Saves a lot of mistakes I have found.Draws all around can hold tools used to assemble and map out.
Nice workbench. Good job.
Excellent work and planning
I like the simple frame design to lock all together. Finally something I can do!
Have fun making yours!
Nice benches ! I too will be making a bench. I am on fence on using 2x4’s or using a 4x4 post for the legs. I like the look of post. I scored some free boxes of laminate flooring that I am going to use for top.
Great project. Makes me want to breakdown my old OSB workbench I made years ago. Also like the Giants Cap.
Yeah it's nice to get some sturdy working real estate! Go Giants!
Very well done! Thank you for posting and giving me some ideas for mine.
That looks like a proper bench. Nice work.
I like this kind of fast video and no waste time.!!!
I like the bench too.
Fantastic, loved your workbench, design, prep build quality and attention to detail absolutely superb!
Fantastic project. You show great talents 👍👍 Way to recycle old wood for your project also !!
Thanks!
This was so helpful! Thank you. The bench looks great
Multitool will make the leg notches 10x easier. Nice video man
Hey Claudio I'm super impressed, Nice job. I'm wanting to build a workbench in my garage pretty soon. Will use a couple your ideas for my bench.
Benton Duckett
Cool modelling skills and build, thanks for sharing.
My only complaint. The distance from the bottom shelf to the floor leaves an area under all of the benches that will accumulate a lot of dirt and debris. Might be a little hard to clean and make a great place for mice and bugs. I think I would add a toe board.
Please don’t be embarrassed or afraid to say your first name the proper way , love the video.
Exactly!! I caught that right away!
We are too Americanized/Canadian iced and try to please everyone else...
I've been having this issue my whole life...
Awesome work sir
Nice work buddy
Great job
Beautiful! I built a temporary workbench that works , but looks like crap. This design will be great for my garage wood shop.
Awesome video! Very informative and not 25 minutes long!
Nice and clean job
is it possible to have the dimensions used or to have the saved file on Sketchup which i've just downloaded it and trying to work on it
Great video, thank you.
Really well done! Great explanations and nice shots. Keep it coming man!
Thanks for the video. Your camera work, editing, and voiceovers are first rate! Kudos.
That must have taken a while but that’s a dope work bench.
impressive, thanks for the inspiration!
Great work bench, how much did it cost totaly ?
Nice bench. Just wish u woulda had an overhang on ur benchtop to clamp things down
He can clamp to the bottom of the2x4
Beautiful job....good for you.....
I'll copy your whole workbench design and placement for my soon to be workshop/garage.
great idea very smart
How do you catch the dust from the mitre saw? Would you consider installing a "back splash" to protect your walls from errand blows/flying debris? Also any plans on using peg boards or adding a shelf for storage or lighting?
Awesome build man; Gloves though.... that takes some balls....
Good job
Thanks for this great video. Is it possible to know which extension you are using for sketchup cutlist ? Thanks.
Awesome!
Looks awesome dude, what program did you use for the layout of the space and the workbench
Is that you on the 4 Wheeler? I raced atvs in a previous life. Time to start riding again now that my kids are grown.
I've built a few benches is my day. One issue I have experienced a time or two is warpage. When I select the wood, I select only straight boards and when the bench is complete there is no wobble. After a month or so a wobble developes, I end up shimming the legs. There has to be a way to stop this.
Great looking work bench, I need to breakdown and build one for my shop. The saw horses are not doing the job anymore
Nice looking work bench
Nice job!!
Nice job man looks great, looks strong.
Do you have plans for it? I love it !
Cool build man, pretty sure you can park a car on those work benches the way you built the legs lol. I can apprciate that !
Hah. Thanks
U got u a subscriber here!! Great workbench I built a few on my channel
I like how you used Sketchup to design the thing first. How did you get all of your 2x4 dimensions and cut-outs from that design? Is there an automatic way Sketchup does that or did you have to virtually 'disassemble' your design, orient them all the same and add dimensions?
It has to be done manually. It’s kind of a pain but worth it. Thanks
this is a very good layout!
Damn nice work.
Very nice
How did you add tool models to your sketchup? Thanks!
Looks Great!
is there plans for this bench?
NICE JOB !!!
Love the bench. Great video. I subbed!
Thank you for putting your video in
I got the e-mail but the file type will not open on my computer. Do you by chance have it in a PDF? I should be able to open that without issues.
great bench!
Job well done, but at 5:44 it looks like it's got one hell of a bend in it!
Great video!
Just wondering what was your total cost of lumber for this bench build ?
Do you have the plans available?
What kind of camera did you use to film this video? I'm looking to film the building of a barn, and dont know what kind of camera I should buy.
Looks like a kind of action cam. The image is distorted at the edges by the wide-angle lens. I have the same problem as you, I would like to film building of my workshop. This camera should cost approx. $100-150 (I'm not thinking about GoPro).
Just so you know, in my day gliding the wood over the blade (whether table saw, or circular saw) to even it out was called a polish plane.
great job! question, what's the average high of theses workbench? I'm 6 feet tall. thanks
Thanks! They are 36” tall. I’m 6’1” and it’s a pretty comfortable height.
You wouldnt happen to have plans available for this would you?
I don’t yet. I would like to get that done ✅
Hey what did you use to design that?
Nice work! Subscribed!
Great video! Subbed
What was the total cost of this project? Looking to do something similar
My compliments!
Any chance you’d share those sketchup plans??? Thanks
anyway i could get the plans for this bench please
Im interested to know what software you use to do your mock ups?
Sketchup
This may be a stupid question, but what's the purpose of the MDF top over the plywood?
Just that MDF is cheaper than plywood. Once it gets messed up enough I can remove it and replace it.
Would u be able to tell us what kind of computer program u used to do your work bench
It’s called Sketchup.
with a side of ketchup
I've had the chance to use this table a couple of times now. It's fun to whip out in front of people:) I can see what people are talking about when they say the legs are delicate, but they're design to support a "mostly" vertical load, not be torqued from the side or pushed back into place. If you just let the table open or close on it's own and don't force anything, it works great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh Once it's set up, it's pretty solid. My only gripe would probably be related to the clamps provided. They're not the highest quality. They do the job, so no big deal, but they could be better. All in all, pretty cool gadget.
Nice channel one more abo.
Greetings from my german channel
Im from croatia so i dont understand alot
So my question is wich type of wood you use for frame
he used 2X4...likely white pine or spruce.
what program do you use to sketch everything before you start?
It’s called Sketchup. Free for personal use
Shouldn't use gloves when using the table saw. Dangerous.
19RioR93 learned that the hardway with a jointer.
Adam Mathis my buddy lost his middle 3 fingers down to the nuckles because he wore gloves and a jointer. 😢
19RioR93 I lost the tip of my left middle finger. Made a 45degree angle on it. Didn’t know. Heck of a way to find out. Sorry about you your buddy.
Adam Mathis awww man! Well at least you can say... hey look at this and give people the finger. And hey it was my buddy not me!! Lol
I love the fact you didn't use any glue!! its used way to much nowadays. :)
Good work man, but WOW, talk about looking your hero, bit of Norm thing going on there man
What software did you use to sketch your drawings?
Sketchup
Thanks!!!
Would you tell me what is name of software you use draw beginning
