I honestly couldnt be more excited about this. Ive been planning a very similar project for my own marines and getting a bit of a foundation in place would be super beneficial.
Hey a fellow Dredge Marine enjoyer. I still need to finish printing the rest of my army for them. Unfortunately I have massive orders from friends who want some fantasy models lol
I kinda want to make my own force of Plague Marines inspired by the Draugr from Norse mythology mixed with a deep sea undead theme, also wanting to paint them in a grimdark blue armor look
Awsome bro 👌 I considered doing a deep sea deathguard army some time ago but it never happened. But I do have have a typhus painted up in a scheme similar to this, only more turquoise with lots of rust 😆 Also considered a man shark daemon prince wielding an anchor, maby one day 😂
As a thought experiment. What do you suppose would happen if you fire a plasma rifle at the bottom of the ocean? I think it would create a long cylindrical cavitation bubble in the wake of the plasma pulse. The water would vaporise and then immediately slams back into a liquid form due to the pressure of the water overhead. This would probably cause a series of shockwaves which would affect everything in the area. The glass panels of the helmets would probably cave in or shatter, and maybe pulverise rocks. Its interesting because cavitation damage can happen to pump impellers irl, this would be like that but much more extreme.
Hey, great video, would you mind going through the blue/greys you used as you didn’t actually go through what ones in the dredgnought video, thank you 😊
That paint cup gives me OCD xD Also, something to note with chipping fluid, they in my opinion work better with Tamiya alcohol paints as they "separate" finer.
Great video. I'm torn on these guys because while they look neat, they don't fit the 40k aesthetic. I get that's the idea to avoid GW coming after them, but it makes them less appealing to me because they don't look like they belong.
@@Nobleshield Well we have old knights (Dark Angels), romans (Ultramarines), greeks, arabs, WW1 french and germans (Krieg), russians, strippers and rock stars (Emperor Children). I’d say diving suits are the least out of place in 40K
You deserve way more subs than you currently have. This is a great video man. Best of luck to you!
Thanks so much mate! Hopefully one day
@@PaintByAz you'll get there man, keep doing what you're doing you're on the right track
I'm really not a nurgle guy, but these are awesome looking! Love the nautical aesthetic, they really pop!
Glad you like them!
My friend has this full army printed the Crab tank it my favorite bit he also made shrimp shell knights!
Yep have the crab tank printed. Am keen!
Can you give the full list of paints you'd used on this? Really looking to give this a shot
I can only imagine them go by the name "The Raptured" after Bioshocks city Rapture
Welp, they have a new chapter name now 😅 Thats too good to not steal
Love MezGike's sculpts. One of my favorite creators. Really liking your take on them. Looking forward to more of this army.
I can't believe someone did it. I thought of this a few days back, underwater plague marines. And someone actually did it.
Mezgike what a hero, love your work also

Glad to hear it!!
I'm literally starting an aquatic terminator squad tomorrow. I've got custom heads, Pauldron's, scenery, and thier own unit color scheme. 😁😎💯
Look so awesome...great work!!🎉🎉
Thank you! 🤗
Those 'Sub Marine' Marines are really cool.
Amazing work ❤

I absolutely love this series! I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with the rest of the army!
Cheers!
It looks amazing. :)
It's like the most terrifying Big Daddy to ever exist.

I regret deciding to blend mine in with death guard now :( Should've just went for aquatic theme

Btw i get it, i like plasma weapons for the glow. Nice osl effect on the dredgenought.

i saw mezgike posting your models on instagram and came here for the osl effect XD
The blues! What were the colors of the blues?!?
I sent them a few emails about buying some stuff from them and they never reached back out. I am trying to build the same type and feel for a DG army

Good to know! Will have to give it a go
All I can think of from seeing that marine is a Big Daddy.

Thanks mate! I do dissagree though. I think they fit right in in their own unique way. 40k's aesthetic is so varied by nature
Brwh they totally look liek they belong XD
@@MekBoooooiI don't think they do, nothing in 40k looks like old time deep sea stuff. But can't deny they are cool models nevertheles
