Cheers bud, not sure the remote stuff is for everyone, but I find it really interesting what you can do with modern radios. I think the skip is on its way back up.I heard 2 div on T5 yesterday.
@@Al.26TC101 Fingers crossed for the skip. And at the moment my noise level is better for most of the day I think it's street light we have intelligent lamp post that talk to each other so lighter nights lamps not on so early.
@@alanbond1269 Yeah that's a bugger for QRM, noise in Cities is horrendous, when I drive back home into Coventry my noise jumps to s7- s9 the minute I hit civilization
Not really much lag less than a second , but it was difficult to edit the bits at the end , because of the lag , but I have made contacts into the US a few months ago when just walking the dog over the road the lag is better than it would be on and SDR if that makes sense. Cheers bud 🙂
Great video showing how it works. Wish I could remote connect to my 7900v. I also wish that the skip would get back to normal it's been terrible here in Spain for weeks.
Nice vid Al, I,ve found most times it the delay and audio quality the phone end is not great... Always without fail there teething timing issues lol.. good work though.. we did this on 11 meters along time ago, 15 years I think, with FRN 446 to FM cb linking up to Oz and Midlands via Swindon to the Quantocks....lol I think the delay was 4.5 seconds in the end ha ha
Cheers bud, im just fascinated how you can do things nowadays and obviously in the past and its something I enjoy messing around with. I would prefer a radio out in the open in a field somewhere, but its all good fun.👍🏻
Good Lord, you will be building repeaters for 11 meters next! Nice video, even though it may be a bit confusing, might be a bit more straight forward if I had the equipment and the software, but I don't. It would go a bit against my QRP working though. Not been out lately due too risk of infection from others. Life can be a bitch at times!!!
Now theres an idea bob, put a repeater up on my pearch LOL, I do enjoy using proper radio in all honesty, but hey if I have to pop over road to shops I can still be involved in a QSO or net. Sorry to hear about your risk stay safe Bud
Well just an experiment to see what it can do and ive heard many others on 11meters that use remote when in other countries. It's a fun way of doing things and especially helped me when I did my back in and couldn't move, meant I could still play radio.
Hi bud yeah just 11meters here, but I do like to mess around with gadgets and things, most would say to me to get my licence, but its just not for me atm maybe one day, but of course I'm restricted very much for any more antennas and its struggle as is. All the best and cheers.
☹ Thats a shame. Is the remote something you would use? Its not something I would use constantly, but it really helped when I had my sciatica as I could still use my radio.
Well done Al great informational video. The skip is still so up and down yesterday afternoon it came alive. Have a great weekend.

Very cool mate. Nice run through of the app and it looks to be reliable.
Cheers bud its only reliable as the person that gets it up an running, ive had a few problems with it, but its been a learning curve.
Wow that works quite well, was there much lag I can imagine trying to QSK could be tricky good vid Al

@@Al.26TC101 oh right that’s good then, yeah I notice a lot of lag using SDR when trying to set up my mic cheers Al

Cheers bud , it took alot to get working and I do think the skip is coming back a bit. It will soon be booming in again.

Cheers Bud, Ive been meaning to do a video for months on this , but setting up was a pain with my computer not doing as its told LOL.
No li,Linking is not legal in the 11 meter band, and it probably isn’t legal to link it to remote hams either.

Impromptu live stream tonight maybe?
Proberly not as not long back from the dentist, but you never know after a few ciders LOL
Great video AL I'm 4 days free of my extra class license

@@Al.26TC101 it's nice to know that these options are available Al, whether you use them or not.
I'll see if I can do it on ftdx 10
