Yeah, but thats the thing. i think that occured in his mind to be the obvious answer, but asked anyway to be sure, because yelling IS IT MY TURN NOW? can seem very obnoxious to people unaware of her dissability. Thats the thing i would fear most about being blind, is being a burden to others, or seem obnoxious.
its not funny what happen if u are blind u gonna be laughin at ur own self ??? @sabine huus i dont think so or someone will laugh at u uk u wont like it either if u laugh at someone like that bc she blind grow up !!!
That is amazing that despite her disability she does not seems totally loss. It is incredible that people overcome a disability and learns to live with it. I am pretty sure one of her other senses is exceptionally strong to compensate on her sight disability.
As a visually impaired person, I wouldn't say hearing increases so much as you learn to use it more efficiently. I'm much better at identifying things by touch though ;). Also don't pet guide dogs! Or distract them!
"When I lost my vision I lost all of my friends" makes me sad, angry, and it hurts to think about people not supporting their friends while they are going through such a difficult adjustment. I would never treat a friend like that! Anyway, this video was fun an VERY inspiring !
I know it's a year later, but still, I don't think it's, "well, you're blind so I'm not gonna hang out with you anymore," I think it's more that there's a lot of stuff that blind people would enjoy less or can't do at all, so you just grow apart.
Loved this! Made me tear up a bit when Casey took off the bandana and described what he was feeling. Then what Molly said after was so powerful. What a wonderful video.
It is not understandable for me that a city like New York doesn't have "sounding" signals!! In Switzerland you here every time when the lights are green a "beep" sound.
Jan Oeschger Same in Warsaw and I bet every big city in Poland. There is different beep when it is red and when it is green light. When it is green, it beep faster :D
From a neurological perspective blindness is extremely interesting. See when our brains have a "vacant" spot so to speak it will repurpose this portion of the brain. This unfortunately means most people who have been blind for an extended period of time no longer have the capability to know how to see. What's even more interesting is that our subconscious thinks in visual concepts so when somebody becomes blind their method of thinking shifts. The lanaguage center of the brain actually begins to enlarge which facilitates somebody who is blind to begin thinking in language more often, which forces the frontal cortex to become activated. Meaning..?.. Blind people are more likely to be logical thinkers.
I "Wow'ed". This girl/woman is so positive, smart, articulate and if I didn't know, I wouldn't say she was blind unless I saw her with the dog. Adapted incredibly well.
Great use of your platform, Casey! Amazing story. This is why you're you. It's not the glasses, drones, or electric skateboards. It's your ability to tell a story.
its not a stupid comment, its ignorant. i don't mean that in a rude way, but people tend to pity those with disabilities - it's just human behavior. All it takes is some exposure and teaching =)
Casey: "How do you know if it's your turn to order?" Molly: "Is it my turn to order?" Cashier: "Yes." Molly: "That's how I know." XD THAT IS MY FAVORITE PART IF THE ENTIRE VIDEO
This is an incredible vlog for two reasons: 1) promoting smaller UA-camr's is something I'd like all successful creators do 2) the fact that Molly creates videos and is blind is incredible (even with help from her Mum). I'm partially sighted (blind in my right eye) and I have challenges that I don't talk about like making sure the tripod and camera are positioned so it looks like I'm looking at the camera and struggle to walk and vlog. Going to subscribe to molly's channel now and I hope others do so. Nice work Molly.
Unfortunately, he is not "over". The press he is getting is just feeding his channel. He gets an average of 50k new subs per day and an average of 15 million views per day... So i'm afraid Jake Paul is here to stay.
Who else noticed that Molly looked a bit like Candice, especially when she smiles? Anyway, Molly's story really is so inspiring, from all her friends leaving her when she got blind, her mom as the talking mirror, how she managed to live the life she's not prepared and didn't prefer, and still out there trying to "DoWhatYouCant". Two thumbs up for you Molly, and also for you Casey!
This. You should do things like this more often. If you are having trouble finding inspiration from your every day life after so many vlogs, that is understandable, but using your talent and influence to promote young UA-camrs who - for whatever reason - touched you or generated some kind of response in you - is a great way to give back. I am sure you can find an even more creative and inspiring format to do this in more regularly. Kudos!
First i get amazed seeing Molly. she is amazing, Then i get super amazed seeing , how 1K ppl disliked "THIS" video. There is absolutely no reason to dislike such a sweet and positive Video.
She's Canadian and Gallop was trained in Quebec, so yes the commands are in french :) She's actually said before that she prefers it that way because then people can't distract him by trying to call him over because of the fact the he only responds to french.
Witty 458 His content is pretty good now, I wasn't that into his gameplays? But his videos now are between funny rants and a bit of sketch comedy (kinda?) but also shows a lot of his personal stuff, like the video where he talks about his favorite manga and he seems really passionate and it's just really nice. He has been talking about UA-cam problems that affect smaller channels too and he just became a more interesting character and he sometimes does gameplays but they are still very funny
ya she is from Canada and she said the place where she got her guide dog from trains them in French. Probably helps them focus so they don't get confused by other people speaking English all the time.
That actually makes a lot of sense. Wouldnt be a common language outside of Quebec so the Guide Dog would hear its commands clearer over ambient noise. PS. I loved you in Cowboy Bebop.

I have watch every single Casey Neistat UA-cam blog but this is my first ever UA-cam comment. This is an incredible vlog and I thank you for creating this video. It really gives perspective of the simple things in life. I really enjoyed her positivity. Excellent work.
I was recently in the US and I found out they don't have a sound when it is your time to walk across a pedestrian crossing! Everyone just waits there until they notice the light has gone green. You don't naturally stare at it like a traffic light so what a moronic design courtesy of the USA.
Bevan Smith I know- it's insane. Here in Australia there's braille on the pedestrian crossing button, tactile at every intersection by law and a loud signal to let people know when to walk. You'd think a place like the US would have that as standard!

Some areas do but not all, it depends on where you are. In most cases though, you can inform the community you reside in to bring it to their attention and possibly have it installed.
I feel like I must have been living under a rock, but I actually had never heard of you, Casey, until you were on Molly’s channel! That’s likely because I’m a more niche UA-cam fan generally speaking. But I adored this video and quite enjoy your style of editing, so I think I’ve found myself another sub to make!!
I've know Caseys Channel since 2012 , way back when he didnt even vlog. I can say he inspired me in a couple of things, even riding my bike to work. He never lets us down. Casey your videos always bring the good side of everydays life. Thanks from bringing her to this video, she is such an inspiration for all of us. Have a great week. God bless you.
By far one of my favourite Casey vlog ever it was just so motivational. if she can do that and she’s blind it just goes to show how hard work and dedication pays off. Thx Casey and Molly
Mr CN, what a great thing to do by showcasing Molly. I really hope people subscribe to her channel also even just to raise awareness. this has come from the UK.
Amazing. You never know how losing any one of your 5 senses, ESPECIALLY sight, can dramatically change your life for any amount of time. Thank you for his video Casey and Molly
Awesome video, Casey! I just went over and subscribed to her channel. I'm always looking for something fresh and interesting. Can't wait to binge watch everything.
Thank you SO MUCH for doing this video! I have twin sons who are amazing Deaf men, and one is a model, and also blind on the left, and has about 15% sight on his right side. If you are ever in Ireland or the uk, we would love for them to meet you and Candice and the kids! (Well, and your young man too!) Anyway, I think this video may just inspire them, as they have degrees in art and are both creative! The other twin is an actor! Once again, thank you for creating a new "conversation" and we will definitely be subscribing to Molly's channel! God bless, Your fans in Ireland
my dad is blind, and he only have a stick. but he can travel wherever he want. i remember he goes 25km away to a traditional market, by bus ofc. i love my dad, and i like this women too.
Now it's 2020 and I came back to watch this video again. It's precious. Regret we don't see Casey's contents so often nowadays. T_T but I still watch this channel again and again :)
My aunt has a disease like that in her eye she's basically fully blind now it's very hard for her to do things. I always wanted to know how they feel this is a perfect video explaining that I appreciate it Casey
Hits you in the feels when she said she lost her friends due to becoming blind, what an amazing girl to get through losing your vision and be this positive
Respect for everyone who tries to build something on their own. Disrespect for those laying in their bed, telling those people they couldn't achieve something.
Casey, its videos like this that set you apart. Thanks you for introducing us to Molly she is such an inspirational person. To all fellow UA-cam creators please never give up and just keep following your dreams no matter what life puts in front of you.
Just listened to your vlog. Casey you are amazing for doing this vlog and creating awareness. I've 2% sight left and partially deaf. So I see your video all blurred. So gonna look forward to following molly. One day I will start vlogging, which I'd so love to do. Once again thanks for sharing your experience.
I have never been a fan of Casey but being blind myself when I found this video I was intrigued. I admire you for doing the blindfold test and for taking the time to understand Molly's world and the world of all us blind people in the process. I might be late to this but thank you for taking the time to do this in a properly sensitive and understanding manner.
"How do you know when is your turn to order?"...she yells "is it my turn to order?" "That's how I know" 😂😂😂she's amazing!!
WildRider hahahaha epic 😂😂😂
WildRider savage
WildRider yes she is and Kudos to Casey for getting her story there.

I've heard her describe her vision a number of times, but that visual that you did to help us understand was really cool!
Yeah! That visual was awesome!
I am suddenly so appreciative of my vision.
Young Bork IKR!! 🙏🏽
We really don't appreciate the things we have, until we don't have them.
Young Bork I mean I wear glasses but I see your point
amen
1066Rider too bad she doesn't know that
This video was so incredibly well made. The recreation of Molly's vision really helped put her world into perspective.
When a blind woman does eye contact better than you
That's the point of having problems to make eye contact. If you wouldn't see a thing it wouldn't be uncomfortable for you...
emanemanresuresu making eye contact with someone makes you uncomfortable?
Aakash Lamichhane for reals!
Kind of.
Aakash Lamichhane 😂😂😂 it's so true
"How do you know when it's your turn to order?".... "Is it my turn to order?" Love that so much!
Love that bit too
Anthony Radisich that was pretty awesome.
That is amazing that despite her disability she does not seems totally loss. It is incredible that people overcome a disability and learns to live with it. I am pretty sure one of her other senses is exceptionally strong to compensate on her sight disability.
I know right! It is amazing!
if i was blind i would meditate until i could sense the world
"When one sense diminishes, another increases" - learn't that from the Mighty Boosh
As a visually impaired person, I wouldn't say hearing increases so much as you learn to use it more efficiently. I'm much better at identifying things by touch though ;). Also don't pet guide dogs! Or distract them!

There are youtubers like these and then there are youtubers like Jake Paul.
Agreed

No shit sherlock
No offence
You just jeles of jake but see what you mean
Hayden Bouttell why would anyone be jealous of some douchebag who is hated by most.....
How does she make eye contact??? She speaks and looks more engaging than someone who can see! That's amazing
P.S. Yes! She said in one of her videos that's it's her natural way because she did that before she was blind she just follows it by her hearing
Yes I've seen a few of her videos and I'm pretty sure every question here will be answered by one of them.
well she literally explained how she can see reflection in his glasses, so....
AT91 When they were in the coffee shop Casey didn't have any glasses on.
Kasus She is literally looking past him in the coffee shop.
"When I lost my vision I lost all of my friends" makes me sad, angry, and it hurts to think about people not supporting their friends while they are going through such a difficult adjustment. I would never treat a friend like that! Anyway, this video was fun an VERY inspiring !
Keep in mind she was in 8th grade. Not a time for emotionally maturity. In fact that's age we are most sociopathic

Jan Oeschger in Indonesia no matter it's red or green, people still try to hit you when you cross the road
Jan Oeschger Same in Warsaw and I bet every big city in Poland. There is different beep when it is red and when it is green light. When it is green, it beep faster :D
They have it where i live too.
* I have no words to say how lovely this video is. JUST WOW *
You meant to say :" *I have no* *words to say* *how lovely* *this video* *is just WOW* "
MeowCaptain Yes he did
And let's give that amazing dog a shout out!
Woof!
Service dogs do a thankless job that never receives much attention. They're amazing though.
Dog Files bork bork
but then, why can't he understand traffic lights?
and why are there no beepers/or vibe buttons on the traffic lights…
Molly does makeup better than most people who can see. ❤️
Maybe someone helps her
Seth Hartz no, she states in the video she does her own makeup.
true!!!
Téa Svorcan she wouldn't need it she's so pretty
when you took off the blind fold i felt so sad because i realized... she doesnt have a blindfold to take off.
edan this is life man...
:(
ahh dude that just hit me soo sad but she's an inspiration !
:( you are so right
she has just accepted it

Fascinating, thanks for sharing
Anyone else think this comment is annoying?
Um, no.
That's really cool. Thanks, youtube stranger.
This might be one of the coolest and most powerful UA-cam video of 2017. Well done Casey.

Tyson Bowman most defidently
She's better at eye contact than I am.
honestly she is killing the game
It's much easier making eye contact when you can't see the other person.
That's because it never gets akward for her :P
Great use of your platform, Casey! Amazing story. This is why you're you. It's not the glasses, drones, or electric skateboards. It's your ability to tell a story.
It's a bummer that she'll never see what a beautiful woman she has become...
L4S SE beautiful is inside. I'm not a handsome dude but I know I'm a good man inside... that's good enough for me.
What a stupid comment.
It's a bummer that she see what a brad pitt like studs Casey is.

its not a stupid comment, its ignorant. i don't mean that in a rude way, but people tend to pity those with disabilities - it's just human behavior. All it takes is some exposure and teaching =)

After the jake Paul bullshit I thought UA-cam was going downhill but now thanks the ppl like Casey I know there still is hope
Casey has been making vids for years on youtube. Jake Paul is already over.

is gallop trained in French? it sounded like the commands were French
She's Canadian and Gallop was trained in Quebec, so yes the commands are in french :) She's actually said before that she prefers it that way because then people can't distract him by trying to call him over because of the fact the he only responds to french.
She have trained him words in English as well for to places to go to fex.
And I thought Casey Neistat, MKBHD, pewdiepie, etc are the most awesome and amazing UA-camr. This woman is the beast.
They are still one of the few creators who are still creative and funny unlike Jake Paul who is always creating drama and clickbaits for views

ya she is from Canada and she said the place where she got her guide dog from trains them in French. Probably helps them focus so they don't get confused by other people speaking English all the time.
That actually makes a lot of sense. Wouldnt be a common language outside of Quebec so the Guide Dog would hear its commands clearer over ambient noise.

KipSo j'aime means I like. So what do u like
Ismaeel Nisar j'aime can be "I like that " in french
I noticed too, but it's normal to train dogs in another language so that they don't react to everybody saying those simple words in english.

Casey, you are awesome. What a wonderful woman, thank you for using your platform to introduce her to the rest of the world
By far one of my favourite Casey vlog ever it was just so motivational. if she can do that and she’s blind it just goes to show how hard work and dedication pays off. Thx Casey and Molly
Damn I cant imagine being blind.
The visual recreation of what Molly sees in this video was BRILLIANT
Wow, thanks for sharing her story Casey. Really gave me a sense for how important accessibility for all is.
Mr CN, what a great thing to do by showcasing Molly. I really hope people subscribe to her channel also even just to raise awareness. this has come from the UK.
She's a true beauty!
Zagem she's so beautiful inside and out...
Interesting how she knows when Casey is moving the camera n stuff. She makes better eye contact than my sister who isn't blind 😂
Sean's Piano 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
PHRASING!!!
Amazing. You never know how losing any one of your 5 senses, ESPECIALLY sight, can dramatically change your life for any amount of time. Thank you for his video Casey and Molly
So, does she know she is a total babe or no?
ahah
Nickk IRL Ricegum messaged me on Twitter. Proof in MY last video.
Josiah Powell Nobody cares.
Very well said Sir. Voltz
Nickk IRL someone have probably told her
Casey, could you please do a whole vlog with your old equipment?
God bless,
Your fans in Ireland
my dad is blind, and he only have a stick. but he can travel wherever he want. i remember he goes 25km away to a traditional market, by bus ofc. i love my dad, and i like this women too.
Now it's 2020 and I came back to watch this video again. It's precious. Regret we don't see Casey's contents so often nowadays. T_T but I still watch this channel again and again :)
Super episode Casey, this is you at your best real people person. And Molly is cool with her new sunglasses.
My aunt has a disease like that in her eye she's basically fully blind now it's very hard for her to do things. I always wanted to know how they feel this is a perfect video explaining that I appreciate it Casey
Yeah when he did the light and dark perspectives it was brilliant. Idk if I ever seen someone do that.
Hits you in the feels when she said she lost her friends due to becoming blind, what an amazing girl to get through losing your vision and be this positive
Respect for everyone who tries to build something on their own.
Disrespect for those laying in their bed, telling those people they couldn't achieve something.
Molly is quite amazing. Loosing vision in my mind would be the worst loss. Such a beautiful person.
This episode is beautiful!!! Love how you represented the way she can see. You have a great heart Mr. Neistat.
Who here watched Molly's videos before this video?
Let's make molly a 100k chanel în one day!
