so giyuu died because he fought uppermon 3 (akaza) alone and no one helped him whereas in the original, in the manga there was tanjiro who helped giyuu to defeat akaza, and when the final final battle is all vs muzan, because there is no tanjiro so muzan or the demon side wins and muzan escapes from the sun... , and a new uppermon is formed
and tanjiro died because let's just say he accidentally met uppermoon 3 and tanjiro lost and died, while uppermon 3 ran away..
