Hello, How do I record the actual bank deposit for the delayed credit. Should it be a Bank Deposit recorded to a Deferred Income Account? Or is there a way to do this inside the Delayed Credit Memo and attach the Payment Method/Deposit to Account?
The delayed credit is a non posting transaction - it does not represent any actual money. It will be a reminder that someone has a credit when you create an invoice or receive a payment.
I have a question regarding the Delayed Credits. Is it possible to apply only part of the delayed credits to an invoice? For instance, if I create a $100 Delayed Credit, could I apply only $50 of that credit on the first invoice and then the other $50 on another invoice in the future? Or would I have to apply it all at once every time?
Hi Nick, thanks for your question! Unfortunately no, I come across this in my business too! What I normally do is change the value of the delayed credit and make a new one. In your example, change the original credit to $50, and make a new one for $50. Hope that helps!
If you open the charge you should be able to select delete under more on the bottom centre. Note that if you have used it, or would like to use it, it may not be a good idea to delete it.
Thank you for your kind cooperation and concept clearing.
