I'm in IT and we started doing a daily standup this year. Honestly, I feel it just creates additional stress. Apart from the time needed to prepare > go through > reflect, it also feels like people are comparing who has done the most work in the past 24 hours. Also sucks if you're dealing with a big task while others have multiple small ones, which makes it seem like you haven't been doing much.
