    Great video! I enjoyed the added graphics throughout - that was a nice touch. My current Half Marathon PB is 1:22:37 which was set back in May 2019, on a slightly undulating course. Since then I've had patches of being in equally good shape, but had poor performances when it would come to race day. Confident that with a solid block of training and without injuries then I could attack this PB next year and chase after the sub 1:20 barrier. Keep up the brilliant videos!

      Outstanding work having already dropped that 1:22.37. You are not that far off now, Keep hammering it out there on the track and road. I know you can get under your goal of sub 1:20. Appreciate your support Isaac. 💪💪💪💪🙏

    Hi there. Former collegiate runner here. I’ve been averaging about 30-35 miles for the year and have been doing 2 track sessions a week mainly focused on the 5k for the past 7 months or so and ran a 17:02 a month ago. I ran my first HM on a whim this past weekend and was able to go 1:17:48. The organization was chaotic so I ended up driving to the wrong location and by the time I drove to the actual start, used the bathroom and got to the line, I literally had 90 seconds before the gun went off. I ran the race without a warm up and did better than I expected. I’m thinking a sub 1:10 could be a good goal to set.

      Nice work dropping that 17:02(5k) last month and that 1:17:48 last month. Times that fast are no joke. VERY well done. Keep up the superior work!

    Great info, I’m a long way off sub 70 but did break 80 mins in Spring and I’m racing a HM Sunday morning, hoping to run 78/79 mins 🤞

    Hey man, very inspirational and quality advice here took lots of notes, I am 17 years old and have been running since I was 10 started taking running seriously when I was 15 running with coach and running squad.
    My current half marathon time is a 73:50 in which I ran in early February this year. I aim to get a sub 70 half by the start of next year. I have always enjoyed/been good at the longer distance races and seem to run faster as the distance gets longer. Seem to be struggling to run quick in the shorter distances.
    In that 73:50 half I ran the first 16km at 3:30 - 3:40 and on the last 5k I sprinted it at 3:10/km 16:10 5k.
    My current pr’s
    3km: 9:23
    5km: 16:10
    10,000m: 33:31
    Half Marathon: 73:50
    Any tips/advice in particular to get to that next level at this age?
    Cheers
    Connor.

      be patient and continue to progress. You are VERY young to be running half-marathons so continue to keep it fun, your best years of running are in your 30s. Go back and check out the older videos I have made on the half marathon distance as well as there are some tips there that can help you as well get even faster. I see you going far below 1:05 in the future. Keep me posted on your progress. Well done!

    My Personal best for the half marathon is 1:14 (43years). How possible would be then for me to beat the 1:10 🚧 for 21km? Thank you for your advice.

    • @rundreamachieve
      @rundreamachieve  4 місяці тому +1

      Definitely an achievable goal. VERY well done dropping that 1:14 at age 43. That is a time guys in their 20s have a hard time dropping. Sub 1:10 will NOT be easy, nor is it meant to be but based on your fitness level and drive I see you getting this time soon. Keep focusing on that 5:20 per mile pace and training at and below it. You'll need to also be doing some speed sessions below 5 minute pace (i.e. repeat 400s,600s,800s,Ks) to get this pace to feel somewhat more manageable, not an easy time to get but you have it in you. What you are doing is working, just drill down on that sub 1:10 goal time.

    • @rundreamachieve
      @rundreamachieve  Рік тому +1

      Absolutely. Keep working on the leaks in your training and practicing running at paces that you know you are not going to hold in the 5k..it will then make your goal 5k race pace to feel that much easier. You are relatively new to the sport so keep training hard (and smart) and you are only going to drop significant time and set new PRs in the near future.
