- Super excited to play Forza Horizon 5 and make the drag racing community as large as possible . Here is a nice and simple base tune to show everyone that's new to drag racing world a step by step on how to build a drag car . i wish we can make wheel size smaller!!! that hasn’t been a. thing since forza motorsport2… you could also make stock wheels bigger too!
its not reasonable. IRL wheel sizes are designed around brake size and suspension geometry and most BASE MODEL wheels are the smallest you can fit. hope that makes sense.
@@mprovedtuning that is true. But they also make brake setups for drag cars. Smaller rotors and calipers in the rear. Which lets be honest they don't need that much rear brake if you put a chute on the car.
@@MaineReef 100% but that requires a TON of added textures and such to the game. at that point just let us build promods. just more work thanbits worth for the handful of people who care.
@@mprovedtuning Actually for pretty much any modern car you might want to drag race from Hellcats to A90 Supras you can easily source a 15 inch conversion kit for the rear so you can mount 15 inch wheels and slicks 👍

I've noticed the rally diff in my r35 works a little better. I'm trapping about 1mph faster and on the festival drag strip I've dropped my time 0.2 seconds. Not sure if it's because of the awd but lemme know if you get different results.

Nice video. Just started messing around with the drag tuning in the game. Most fun i have had and started playing back in Horizon 3 days. I have been setting up for the 900 metres at Mexico Festival airstrip. The six speed works well there.
I built a Monte Carlo awd w the 7 speed and tuned the gears up to 267 max speed. 1.6 sec 0-60 and 3.7 sec 0-100. With it in AWD it beats every other car off the launch

Couldn't bring myself to take out that amazing v6 from the grand national. So I just copied this build on the 88 monte carlo since they are built on the same chassis car. It came out pretty good.
I know in 4 the GN full weight with the built v6 and 275 tire would run mid 10s 👍
Put the sport trans in the monte, stock gear ratios, 4 spd, but you can change the final drive
Hey man just a suggestion. IRL, on your rear wheels you want a small amount of positive camber for launching purposes. When the rear suspension compresses in, it’ll make your rear tires have more contact surface with the road during your launch because that’s when it’s most likely to spin. I believe forza uses the same logic. Give it a shot! Maybe it’s just a placebo effect but I think it helps a little. Good build!
Yes you are correct I don’t do it because I don’t see a crazy change in grip or the vehicles performance .
@@marztuning I really only feel like I notice it on light weight big power cars. LS 240z, Opel Kaddett etc. but like I said.. could just be my imagination!

forza does account for it, you can see what you need in the telemetry screen and it will make micro adjustments as far as traction. that being said i cant get telemetry to work on xbox because it only gives you 1 extra button. you can bring it up but not change it.
This only works IRL if your chassis has independent rear suspension, if its a solid axle no camber

Higher tire pressure in the front makes less drag, i do mine at 35

I’ve been working on a 6.7 power stroke 10 speed foxbody for a while now but I can’t figure out the gear ratios. Can you see how fast you can make one?

An eeasy way to get the launch control rpm up is just hold the brake and acceleration from dead stop it’ll rev up max and then just switch gears to 2nd and then back to first. Tho I don’t know how to make it so I can get a bit higher of revs with that method.
Just a heads up if you spam the clutch when catching it in the rev pre-staging you can raise the "launch control" rpm and then let off and press and hold in whatever rpm you want to launch with, i got a video on my channel if anyone needs an example. Also the bridge NE of the SW airstrip is almost exactly a 1/4 from the seams where it meets the road so less confusion and i cant recall but i think we measured Teohacian or whatever to be a 1/4 at the trash cans on the right ;)

Although im wondering if an AWD setup with about 85% to the rear works better for launching. The mustang i run seems to not spin as much like that in any case.
it can help but rwd is lighter weight so it depends i have a AWD monte carlo with the high hp v8 and it scoots

I followed the tutorial and I am new to drags but I seem to just blow the tires off. NO wheelies D: standard steering and traction control on.

Did this and I'm still getting wheel spin at launch. I lowered my final drive down all the way and lowered my 1st through 4th gear ratios down a lot bit they still spinning at launch
Make sure your settings are to STANDARD STEERING and not simulation

@@marztuning I have been. But actually I put this gear ratio and suspension tuning set up on a Monte Carlo and instead of the LS 6.2 I put the Racing 7.2 with Twin Turbos and it wants to put like 500 hp down on the launch at 3500 rpm. But even if I lower the rpms to launch at 250 hp it still spins

Can't get this tune to work at all. I do the burnout like you said. Everything is the same. All this car does is spin. Not sure what's going on.

I get wheel spin when I pet 15 in the rear I've been running 15.5 or 16 it just works

I don’t really suggest this for many reasons to do with suspension and aero but hey it depends on what car you’re doing.
This tune is for the gnx, and the gnx only, maybe the monte. And it does become one of the faster drag cars in the game

Hello, I have tuned the car just like you. But the tire pressure goes with me nue to 5 bar and not 15. And with me the car does not go up so much although I keep 2100 Rpm
He is using imperial units. PSI instead of bar

Am I the only one who can’t seem to hook? Like if my first gear is too short all I do is spin, if it’s too long I hook but first gear is long. I feel like I’m dragging in the rain.

With the Supra I managed to get it to 4000 revolutions by accelerating by releasing the clutch and sinking it again, but it no longer wants to work.

when you hold gas and brake and it revs past 2K and slows itself back down into 2k, hold the clutch as its going back down and itll stick.

Idk if it is video game logic but irl we soften the front springs and stiffen rear and have the rebound softer on rear if it's to hard it will just bounce you want some rebound there to get rid of wheel hop I have a pretty sick dart build if you want the code did the horizon track in 12.8

Your tyres are getting too hot because your tyre pressure is too low on my drag set up I've noticed it too had to bump the pressure up and it got rid of that issue

Try to make a wheelie build with the 69 Charger. It's so heavy I just can't get it to lift.
changing suspension height and first gear acceleration can help. took me about 25 minutes to get the charger to pop a fat wheelie, just a little bit of fine tuning! also don’t use launch control, 5k is a sweet spot for that v8 if you keep it inside of it

You don’t do a ton of drag racing do you? Once you start doing wheelies you have to start adjusting the suspension to keep the front end down but if it’s not doing a wheelie it should stop
