      Jesus also gave all twelve power to cast out devils... A devil can't cast out devils, or his kingdom will be divided against itself and cannot stand, according to Jesus. Not only that, Jesus told the twelve their names were written in heaven 🤔

    Let me pose the following questions and statements to those brethren who still don’t believe Judas was ever saved. 1. Would Christ have sent an unsaved man, full of the devil, and doing everything he could to destroy the work of God, out on a missionary journey? Psalm 41:9. 2. How could Judas become an apostle, preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, have the peace of God to give to a household, be a sheep in the midst of wolves, and be able to speak under the power, authority, and influence of the Father’s Spirit, if he was an unsaved soul never in grace? Matthew 10: 1-26, Mark 3:20-27. 3. What did Judas fall from? How could he do this if he was always a sinner and a devil as some say? Would not the Scripture say he died in his sins, like Jesus said to those Pharisees who never believed in Him? Acts 1:25, John 8:21-24. 4. How could Judas never be saved and have his name blotted out of the book of life? Psalm 69: 25-28 (David speaking prophetically). 5. To those who use 1 John 2:19 to speak about Judas, I would retort with Acts 1:15-17, Peter speaking, with emphasis on verse 17. 6. Lastly, let me counter the argument that no one was saved until Pentecost came. I would refer you to Jesus’s prayer for Himself, His disciples, and all His believers in John 17. According to Jesus, eleven made it to heaven and one did not. 7. In Luke 23:39-43, Jesus tells one of the thieves on the cross he would be with Him in Paradise. Deathbed conversions are very real and Biblical. This passage refutes all the Jesus plus theologies out there on the Christian landscape. Jesus + absolute eternal security, Jesus + baptism (it’s good to get baptized, although it’s not a requirement for salvation), Jesus + you must speak in a tongue, and Jesus + you must worship on Saturday (Seventh Day Adventists) All false. The correct answer is Jesus + nothing more or nothing less. Jesus alone. Revelation 22:18-1 9. I know there are many out there who disagree with my interpretation of this issue, and that’s fine. As a person of consensus, I believe we as Christians can unanimously agree that Judas was lost for all eternity. Some would say that he was never saved and some would say as I do that he was saved and then backslid and fell from the faith. Either way, we all end up on the same page, and that’s a good thing.

    Question: Corey does the fact that he could not save Judas a weak God? Did Judas walk away from the faith? Did Judas have to betray Christ or did he choose to reject Christ? Does God force the will to do ANYTHING or does man make their own choice?

    • @Blueb937
      @Blueb937 8 місяців тому +1

      Curious to see Corey’s view on your questions, too. I view it as a decision God made pre-emptively not to save Judas. He used Judas to effectuate His plan of salvation, but I don’t believe this is an issue of whether God *could* save Judas.
      Scripture shows that Judas was marked from the beginning for destruction, and Jesus indicates that Judas was fully responsible for his actions. This gets into the sticky issue of free will vs God’s sovereignty that often puts reformed folks at odds with non-reformed people.

      God doesn’t force your will . He restrains wickedness and if it is apart of His decree He releases His hand to let you do the wicked things that are already within your sinful nature . So I would say that He limits our sinful will according to His purposes and for His glory.

    Brother, thank you. I have been dealing with this with my pastor and other minister within the church I attend. I went to John 13: 10-11, "Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, “You are not all clean.”
    Jesus was clearly saving Judas was not saved! They try to use Judas going out with the 70 casting out demons and healing to say Judas was saved. In my rebuttal, If Jesus gives a command it would come to past. God told the devil he could do all he wants to do with Job but take Job' life. Demons is under God's commands also. Like the spirit who put a lie in the false prophets mouths of Ahab, in 1 Kings 22:19-23, And the Lord said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.
    21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will persuade him.
    22 And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.
    23 Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee."

      Judas was one time a saved man? He had the Holy Spirit and power like the other apostles and was a successful preacher and healer like them (Mt. 10:1-20; Mk. 6:7-13). He had his name written in Heaven, as proven by Acts 1:20 with Ps. 69:25-29. He fell from the apostleship by transgression (Acts 1:25).
      Judas was not a devil from the beginning? There is no such statement in the Bible. He was "a devil" or an adversary against Christ toward the latter part of His ministry and this is all the Bible does say about the question (Jn. 6:70). He was not always an adversary for he was once a saved man.

      @MatthewMencias so you are saying two things if I'm correct...

    • @kevinb.1454
      @kevinb.1454 8 місяців тому

      @@mariodebeer I'm saying that man is a free moral agent. Man can freely choose to serve God or not. This is why Joshua told the children of Israel to "Choose you this day whom you will serve". All the Holy Ghost in the world is not going to force anyone to stay saved if they choose not to.. it's called backsliding, just like ancient Israel constantly did, and Christians do it all the time today... Concerning God being all knowing, God's knowing had nothing to do with Adam and Eve willfully disobeying God. God knew they would disobey one billion years BEFORE he created them. They disobeyed God because they chose to.. God's knowing doesn't interfere with or stop the choices we make.. If you DECIDE to blow your brains out, God knows, but most of the time he'll allow you to do it.. We have freedom of choice. Satan has it, and the angels have it.

    What about the Holy Spirit being taken from Saul Corey?

    • @aishahill4379
      @aishahill4379 8 місяців тому

      That is a good question. My understanding is he denied Jesus not betrayed Him. Samuel also said as well he’d be with him.

    • @RenardGarzaro
      @RenardGarzaro 8 місяців тому

      The holy spirit was never in anyone in the old testament, it came upon them. When Saul was anointed king of Israel, the Holy Spirit came upon him (1 Samuel 10:10), but when God removed His blessing on Saul, the Holy Spirit left him (1 Samuel 16:14). The Holy Spirit came for specific moments or seasons in the lives of Othniel (Judges 3:10), Gideon (Judges 6:34), and Samson (Judges 13:25; 14:6) as well, to enable them to do His will and serve Israel. At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out on all believers in Christ, and He came to stay. This marked a major change in the Holy Spirit’s work.
      An issue related to losing the Holy Spirit is eternal security. There is debate among Christians about whether or not someone can lose his or her salvation. To lose salvation would be to lose the Holy Spirit who provides it. In fact, Scripture says that the Holy Spirit “seals” our salvation until we experience its completion in the presence of God (Ephesians 1:13; 4:30). For the Holy Spirit to vacate a heart that He had promised to seal would make Him unfaithful. One of the Holy Spirit’s tasks, after moving into a believing heart, is transforming that person into the image of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:29), and we have the promise that “he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion” (Philippians 1:6). We do not believe the Spirit will undo His work of regeneration, give up on His transformative work, or redefine eternal life to mean “temporary life.”
      Since we did not “find” the Holy Spirit, it is doubtful that we can “lose” Him. Some take issue with the word lose and say that, while a Christian cannot lose the Holy Spirit, he or she can forfeit the gifts and salvation He brings by a willful renouncement of Him. However, Ephesians 1:13 says, “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.” Can a believer truly break the seal placed on him by God? The Holy Spirit is the mark of a true believer; therefore, to lose Him would be to lose any hope of salvation in the future.
      What causes confusion on this issue is that we cannot know whether someone else has truly been born of the Spirit or whether he is the “shallow soil” as Jesus described in Luke 8:1-15. Some people seem excited to follow Jesus and may exhibit what appear to be supernatural gifts, but they were never truly born again. Jesus addresses those people with a stern warning in Matthew 7:21-23. Many people profess to have the Holy Spirit but eventually prove that they were imposters when their lives turn away from following Him (see Romans 8:14). Such people did not lose the Holy Spirit; He was never theirs at all (1 John 2:19).

    My argument to this conclusion to him not being saved, just to give another perspective is the position of the son of perdition could have been any one of the 12. Jesus had to rebuke Peter and says get the behind me Satan after Peter had just spoken what the Father revealed to him. Also to add this point, Jesus tells Peter that Satan has desired to have him or sift him as wheat. But the Lord said he prayed for him that his Faith don't fail. But the scripture says Satan put it in Judas heart to betray Jesus and Satan entered into Judas. We try to read scripture and give answers from the knowledge only the Lord has unless it's revealed unto us.

      You don't have a part to do, if we do something to be justified we would not be saved by Grace, we would be saved by our ability to follow directions. Jesus told Nicodemus we had to be born again (from above), we do not makes ourselves born from above only God does that. Jesus was referring to
      Ezekiel 36:25-27 where God said;
      25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
      26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
      27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
      Notice who is talking God, notice he did not ask Israel to do anything, notice the condition is a heart issue, God said he would take out the heart and put in a new heart, notice God put his spirit in them and caused them to walk in his ways, after you are born from above you can chose and continue to chose, obey and abide in Jesus. God does the work not us.

      Uh... that makes it sound like the Father essentially had it guaranteed that Judas and only Judas was going to betray... thus making it seem as though it was fate... like some who teach the erroneous predestination lie...
      Rather, I believe it was more about the Father knowing the enemy and how he would attack His Son... thus, the enemy was going to certainly get to someone in Christ inner circle...
      Remember, Christ called others who were not the 12 as well and I believe satan also tried to get to as many who were close... then once the 12 were established, perhaps he focused on them.... Christ even told Peter that satan actually requested to sift Peter like wheat....
      My point is that The Father knew how the enemy would attack and would certainly succeed in turning one close to His Son... who that one was to be wasn't necessarily fixed... as we see in this passage of John, there were others who didn't believe yet... along with Judas.
      As such, Judas was not absolved from his CHOICE... he still chose to betray the Lord... he was not forced or predestined to do so.

I would lean to the side of no, as he has a similar situation to other people in the Bible to acknowledge Gods existence and sovereignty, but the main difference is that there is a section in the book of Daniel that is an excerpt of what appears to be written by him (correct me if I'm wrong) at the end of chapter 4. I find it hard to believe that the writing of a non-believer / someone not filled with the holy spirit, would make it into the Bible.

    This has always made me wonder. Because I have never understood why Jesus would give authority to preach, heal and cast out demons to someone who He said was a devil. Is this what is happening in the church? Is God using people who are 'devils' and giving them authority and power in His church to preach and do other spiritual things? I mean God is the same yesterday, today and forever more. If He used the 'devil' Judas to go forth is His power and authority to preach, heal and cast out demons, who says He is not still using 'devils' to get His work done today? And if He is, then maybe I can better understand why the church is in such a downfall. Paul did talk about the qualifications of a bishop. Correct me if I am wrong, but among all the things he said to Timothy about the qualifications of a pastor, he didn't say that he must be born again and full of the Spirit of God. Maybe he didn't mention it because being born again and full of the Spirit was a given. The qualifications for pastor seem to indicate the one must be a good upstanding man of good reputation. One who's house is in order and not given to much wine. So will God use a man who meets all the qualifications but who is not born again and full of the Spirit? I mean I want to say no way would He use someone who is not at lease born again. But then again, He used Judas. Who He said was a devil.

      20 For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
      21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
      And corithians 5:1-5
      It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
      2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
      3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
      4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
      5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

    What do you say about the prodigal son in scripture? The Father said he was dead but now is alive. Dead spiritually because he left His Fathers house or dead because The Father thought he was physically dead?
    Is this saying you could be alive by faith but then become dead by leaving the faith?
    ”But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ”“

      Luke 15 the parable of the prodigal son, one of my commentary quotes this is sometimes called “ The parable of the Perfect Father “, as a matter of fact the “Father (God) “ is the hero of the story “ A certain man”( God) and his response to his two sons is what the parable is all about. (Not so much Judas at all)The primary lesson of the parable is to show the difference between Gods attitude toward sinners and that of the Pharisees( the elder brother), it is undoubtedly intentional that Jesus said this “certain man” had only Two sons. Two sons prodigal(sinners) and petulant (Pharisees) that’s all the sons God has(except His Perfect Son). All mankind falls into one category or the other those who openly rebel and admit they are sinners, and those who s pretend they are not. Humanity falls either prodigal or Pharisee there is no other breed of man outside the grace of God. So the story of Luke 15 has more to do with Deuteronomy 21:17 , and Mathew 12:30 , James 5:19-20 then anything to do with Judas another prodigal son, or Acts 5 incident.

    He repented, Do a deeper study around the 30 pieces of silver and the true meaning behind that. Also he did not commit suicide by hanging, he was split open.
    Act 1:15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
    Act 1:16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
    Act 1:17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
    Act 1:18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
    Mat 27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
    The chief priests and elders hanged him. HE REPENTED!

      It’s awesome you say lets” do a deeper study” let’s do one on “falling headlong”, “ field of blood”. “Falling headlong”could it be possible it was a medical term for “swelling up”( Moultan and Milligan the vocabulary of the Greek Testament pg 535-536) even some English translations CJB,Phillips, Mofatt and Godspeed. Field of blood is Greek translation of an Aramaic word. It is always difficult to uniformly transpose from one language to another. Despite the Greek spelling variations the Aramaic means “Field of blood” this could mean,
      A field bought with blood money Mathew 27:7,
      A field where blood was shed Act 1:18,
      Or a field where murders or foreigners (strangers)were buried Mat 27:7. Act 1:20 are 2 quotes from psalm 69:25, and the second is from psalm 109:8 and provides the prophetic replacement for Judas as discussed In Acts 1:21-26.

    With all due respect and love, the Scriptures declare that Judas was a saved man before he betrayed the Lord. Please note Matthew 10: 5-20, when the Lord sent twelve men out on a missionary journey. Slip on down to verse 20 where it says the Spirit of the Father would be in each of the twelve. He had the Holy Spirit in him. Case closed. The reason it says Father is because Jesus had not yet gone to the cross. Spirit of the Father, Spirit of Jesus, and Holy Spirit are all three co-equal members of the Triune Godhead. Please note the Scripture says that by transgression Judas fell. How can you fall from something you never had to begin with? If it said that he died in his sins, which is what Christ told the unbelieving Pharisees who would not believe in Him in John 8, you would be on more solid ground.

    Man John 14 Matthew 5 1 John if anyone says they know me but doesn't keep my commandments he is a liar so anybody falling short of keeping that doctrine how can I take you serious? . If one can't lose salvation explain that to a lot of the Jewish people because that's why only a remnant made it out and that's why you got the gospel because they are descendants from the remnant... And tell that to the angels who are chained in the abyss that you can't lose your salvation because they're wondering how that happened... It's called free will...
    The book of Thessalonians clearly says this Don’t be fooled by anything they might say. That day of the Lord will not come (until the turning away from God happens.) And that day will not come until the Man of Evil appears, the one who belongs to hell.
    Man it says apostasy so that means no secret rapture none of that can happen until the many fall away from God so you can fall way and stray away from God you can walk away from salvation? Yes you can. Don't be fooled or let a fool give you fools gold. Because the very people who was taught by the disciples who was taught by Jesus taught you could lose your salvation... Now argue with God because it seems that people have a problem with him and yet they teach causing people to stumble.

Worldly sorrow is only a guilty conscience. You dont lkle the consequence of your sin because of your love for Christ. You only want to avoid the feeling of guilt. A godly sorrow leads to repentance which leads to salvation. Its a genuine sorrow over sin because you love Christ and leads you to Christ. Judas did not repent. Let me make one more comment to all those who incorrectly believe Judas was never saved. Mark 6:7-13, Luke 9:1-6. In both of these passages,it says the Lord gave power and authority to the twelve to cast out demons and heal the sick, Judas included. It also says the twelve successfully cast out demons and healed the sick, Judas also included. How did they do this? Was it by the power of Satan or was it by the power of the Holy Spirit? Mark 3:20-27 Home in on Jesus speaking in verse 23. All twelve were filled with the Holy Spirit, Judas again included. I would like to conclude by using one of the teacher’s arguments against him to prove my point. In John 6:70 he correctly states that Jesus said, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil? Notice carefully, He did not say was a devil, which dovetails perfectly with Psalm 41:9. At this point, he turned against the Lord, betrayed Him,and ultimately ended up in Hell. I believe in the doctrine of eternal security, I just don’t believe it’s absolute. You’re eternally secure as long as you continue to believe in Jesus and His shed blood at Calvary. Don’t willfully turn or walk away from Jesus and you’ll be just fine.

    We know Jesus referred to Judas as the one who didn't believe among the 12. So he was not saved up until the time Jesus was washing their feet just before the last supper we know Judas had not believed so was not saved.
    And according to the following verse we know certainly that Judas didn't die saved because he died cursed as human.
    Galatians 3:13 KJV (paraphrased)
    “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one (or every human because it was given in the law) that hangeth on a tree:”
    Judas died hung on a tree and fell on the ground and got broken.
    The verse above was given referring to Jesus. The human Jesus, the lamb of God was cursed for 3 hours when he was on the tree/cross, but he didn't die cursed because just before he died God delivered him according to the following verse applicable to humans since the law:
    Psalms 34:17 KJV (paraphrased)
    “The righteous (not a righteousness of nature, but that of not being guilty of breaking the law like the perfect lamb of God) cry, and the LORD (God) heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”
    So when Jesus cried on the cross "My God, my God why has thou forsaken me", God delivered him from all his troubles; that means God restored all what he had lost because he was righteous according to the law and he was still the perfect lamb of God.
    That's why just before Jesus died, he could still refer to God as Father. He didn't said "My God into thy hands..." but rather "Father into thy hands I commit my spirit". Because the perfect fellowship with God was completely restored. So Jesus didn't die cursed unlike Judas who died cursed and went to hell.

    I don't see how people can read what Jesus clearly says "But there are some of you who do NOT believe, for Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did NOT believe and who it was that would betray Him" [because he, the betrayer, was one of "those" who did NOT believe] and still think that Judas was a believer who was saved, when Jesus clearly says that we have to believe in order to be saved (John 5:24) .... o_0?!?

      Well, the same way someone can read John 17 when Christ called his Father "The Only True God" and also read this passage here in John, where Christ says except "it has been granted him by the Father," and also read about how Christ was emphatic and purposeful about his Father being Known and Glorified as the One and Only True God that He is....
      Yet, still believe (adamantly and sometimes arrogantly) that the trinity is true and even further, that the trinitarian doctrine is foundational to salvation.
      The people who believe this about Judas do the same things with scripture as those who believe that Christ is God as part of this trinity dogma.

    Right.. And since judas was not saved and we know this is true. than Repentance is NOT what saves you either. It cant be both ways, because we see clearly that judas was feeling guilty about what he did, even to the fact he took his own life in guilt. So a if judas was not saved than repentance cant be what saves. So it all comes down to Faith in God, repentance is what takes place after knowledge of truth. its what begins a turning of faith from oneself (creation)to God (creator). So this argument is sound and scriptural. But one cannot say Repentance saves and Judas was not saved, it cant be both ways. So, yes this stands up to scripture.

    Judas died ahead of Jesus and went to hell.
    When Jesus died, he also went to hell to set the captives free (Ephesians 4:8-10, Revelation 1:18).
    Judas repented just before his death, which is why he ended up commiting suicide.
    Everything happened accordig to the plan of God (Acts 2:23, John 10:17-18).
    What evidence is there that he did not believe the Lord's word when it was preached to him in hades?
    If anything, he was a catalyst for the crucifixion of Jesus.
    Look who sold Joseph (the savoir of the family) in Genesis 37:26-27. Yes, Judah, AKA Judas.
    Was he not saved together with his brothers when they went to Egypt?

    Judas was saved because he was given the same rights and authority as the other 11. But he gave up is own salvation by choice. God sees us to the end but does not force us or he could be called a dictator (more like the god of Tulip). Yes Jesus knows all things and he knew Judas would betray him...that does not translate to Judas not having free will to chose not to to betray him. This topic is truly separating the body of Christ because the osas supporters can twist it to fit their false teaching. I believe in osas but not the way it is taught by many. I 💯 believe in free will because it is mentioned in Genesis. Adam and Eve were told not to eat from a tree but they freely chose to eat from it and now the world pays the consequences of their choice. My kids are told not to eat too many cookies but they eat all of them and the consequences are a stomach ache...they chose to eat all and not listen to dad. Judas was a vessel God used but he still had a choice before its final outcome.

Cause the Bible says, good deeds and self righteousness & many more are filthy rags. If a person DOES NOT have a TRUE relationship with GOD, what makes you think his name is in the book of life aka VIP list? Remember, it is HIS Kingdom not yours or mine! Try knocking on someone’s house and ask to be let in and see what happens! You’ll either get shot or they’ll call a cop on you! WHY? There is NO relationship built up! A relationship that’s built with good intentions & motive. Sad to say, Christians today are only searching GOD for their own benefits. To be blessed & prosper! 🤷‍♂️ Y’all think GOD is dumb? 😂 This is why the road to “eternal life” remains NARROW! Let that sink it!

      When did Judas have the Holy Spirit?

    • @kevinb.1454
      @kevinb.1454 8 місяців тому

      @@smartchristians He only had a measure of the spirit, not to be confused with the baptism in the spirit. One needs the spirit of God to cast out devils and raise the dead.. The disciples were given power by Jesus to do the work he sent them to do when they went out paired up, or by two. Even John the Baptist had the Spirit of God, but he died before Pentecost, which proves he never received the baptism in the Spirit. Mary the mother of Jesus even had the Holy Spirit.. I'm not in front of my Bible at the moment, but if you do a search of the word spirit with your Concordance, you'll come across a few scriptures of people in the new testament who had the Spirit of God. There's a difference between having the Spirit in a measure and without measure.. for example, one can fill a glass with water, but until it's submerged in water it is only filled. Once the glass is submerged in water, it is now filled and baptized. That is a great example of receiving the Spirit without measure. Jesus was full of the Holy Ghost, for God gave him the Spirit without measure, hence the mighty miracles he performed, for God anointed him with power and the Holy Ghost. Sad to say, but many Pentecostals, COGIC comes to mind, don't know the difference between being filled and being baptized in the Holy Ghost. They believe it's the same work. In fact, I have heard many members in COGIC tell brand new converts THEY AIN'T GOT NOTHING until they're baptized in the spirit. This attitude has turned many from that particular denomination. How can you be saved at 1pm and five minutes later you're told "You ain't got nothing" if you haven't received the baptism. The new birth is the work of the Spirit of God, and so is the baptism in the Spirit. Think about it. Who does Jesus baptize in the Spirit, those who are BORN OF THE SPIRIT, BORN FROM ABOVE, that is the work of the spirit IN THE HEART OF MEN, now you're a candidate for the baptism in the spirit, which is a second work of grace. The sole purpose for the baptism in the spirit is to give the Christian POWER to do the works of Christ and confirm the word of God. Many so called Christians lack this power, so, they fall back on "The Holy Ghost is a keeper, and without it you can't live holy". That's only partly true, because the very spirit of God is keeping you, if you choose, while seeking the baptism in the spirit.. Corey, I love your program, but the church is in a mess, especially when it comes to the spirit of God, many Christians are totally ignorant as to how the spirit of God works at salvation, during salvation, and especially after receiving the baptism in the Holy Ghost.. One of the many reasons we don't see the miracles signs and wonders we see in the book of Acts, is because the modern church has watered down the true purpose for the baptism in the spirit to nothing more than just a keeper. And we wonder why we don't have the power to go out in the world to be a better witness for Christ. No confirmation because the modern Church, as a whole, has no power.. Just like these so-called modern day Apostles.. NO POWER 👋
