This is what America car brands are missin. Big body, rear wheel drive V8s. Other than a Dodge SRT/RT Charger and Chevy SS, I think we really lost our thunder. Marauder was last of a dying breed. Bring back rear wheel drive V8s.
@@bernardjohnson9243 it's good that American cars can turn now tho. Look at the new 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE, 2016 Shelby GT350R, 2017 Cadillac CTSV, 2016 Dodge Viper ACR, and 2019 Corvette C7 ZR1. All handle amazing a track and beat many European sports and super cars oik n times.
instead of killing off the panther platform they could orf dropped in a the 5.0 or 6.2 with a 6 speed auto or manual and bam!! people would line up for it
Tell me about it. Still a good car could be an awesome sleeper with the help of stock sleeper bodykit lol. However ford and mercury just don't have that much of factory variations if they did they'd beat chevy good time
hope whoever bought it keeps it original...however, most buyers mess them up with add on crap!...anyway, just means that smart buyers that keep them original reap the benefits and "respect"
I have the 2011 Lincoln Town Car Signature L, its the longer one with more room for backseat passengers. Last year of the Panther Platform, black on black, all original, and i will never sell it. Wow, what a car
Funny thing is this cars got outrun by the V6 Honda Accord coupes of the same era. Good looking, clean sleeper kind of car, but they were cursed with that junk 4.6l v8.
Hugh Jayness I was referring to the 16v engine in the GT. If you're going to buy one of the SN95 turds the only one worth getting is the 32v. I was mistaken in thinking the Maurader had the 16v... but that only makes it more embarrassing that it loses to a stock V6 Accord from that era.
Hugh Jayness my point was about the Maurader. If you compare every car that had the 4.6l in it to an Accord, you'll obviously find one that is faster. Modular engine is still junk, which is why the Mustang got its ass handed to it all through the 90s by the Camaro and Trans Am. Wasn't until the Coyote 5.0 that Ford finally put a competitive engine in the Mustang. there's a reason why sn95 Mustangs can be bought for cheap these days with the exception of some of the Cobras.
I'm talking 90's engines and newer, not the old, classic ones. The Honda Accord is also a family car. "In terms of configuration, the 2003 Marauder was similar to the 1994-1996 Chevrolet Impala SS in being called a full-size 'muscle sedan.'" Regardless of any of this, I'm not even anti-Mustang or Ford. I don't like EVERY Mustang from that generation, but I like several of them. I always just wished they came with a more competitive engine (minus the 32v). Ford is really the only domestic manufacturer I still respect, especially because instead of taking bailout money they revamped their product lineup to fit better with the times (more small, fuel efficient vehicles, instead of giant land yachts that GM and Chrysler insist on building), and they haven't tried to knowingly cover up the deaths of their customers due to faults with their cars like GM did. On the flip side, most Japanese car manufacturers have been making their cars heavier and heavier every new generation, which is frustrating.
NO. It's A Mercury Marauder. It's a continuation of the original High-Performance Mercury Marauders made in the 1960's . It's BASED on the Grand Marquis, but has had numerous high-performance modifications not available on The Marquis.
I have 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis. It runs well and I love to hear it start up. One day I would live to own a Marauder like this one. Very nice.

I agree, but it seems like we are trying to compete with the Euro-sport cars
Bernard Johnson i agree to bring that Beast

There was the Chevrolet SS but it barely sold any units, but there’s a whole political story behind that too
Dying breed? You named like 5 other vehicles
The Marauder is my ultimate dream car.
Me too!!!
Why? I am telling you it’s slow and handles like shit. It’s bad on gas. And now they are overpriced
@@davidkruse4030 it handles pretty good, and its a lot of fun
@davidkruse4030 do you own it? Or heard from others ?
That is one beautiful Marauder. I bet it sold pretty quickly, too.
18 people that disliked video can't afford a beautiful car like this. Super cool car
Ford's answer to the '96 Impala SS.

G8 is plasticy cheap trash

Is it still available? Are you open to any trades? I can send a cashier's check and once it clears my driver will stop by to pick it up...
Lincoln should have done something like this with the town car. Like kept the LSC going or something
Is it still for sale?

How Much? And who do I talk to.....
it doesnt accelerate extremely fast... it is a 15 second car in the quarter.. not more...not less it is ok. not big deal either..
Most of its power is between 3 to 5k rpm. Of the line it is slow.
@@sourwords1808 it’s slow in general. It’s heavy with a slow trans

If going in to buy a new car with 5,200 down payment, you see this, abort new car mission.
65-75% tread? Why not put new tires on the thing before you advertise and sell it? How cheap.

Luke to bad your slow 5.0 will get your ass hand by cobra terminator all day
An ohv Mustang 5.0L V8 is not in the same league as an SVT 4.6L DOHC 302HP V8.
