Your videos are great. Have helped me very much since I bought my vfr. They are straight forward and all business. And no shaky camera work so I don't have a headache and feel sick after watching them. Thank you.
Torque on a wheel is not rocket chemistry. Most people will learn not to over tighten the first time they snap off a pinch bolt. You can find the torque specs in your manual. When you pull a wheel it should be second nature to drop the spacer on the side of the bike where it belongs. Then when you come back to install you pick up the right side, clean it and grease it then do the left side. Never place all of your parts in the same location. Your parts need to be placed how they come off.
My VFR is second hand. No tool kit and no manual. So can you share the torque spec? I already got my when back on after changing the tire and took it for s test rude. I'd feel a lot better knowing It's to spec vs German Torque.
Noticed you didn't push up and down the tire before tightening everything back up? Noticed u just tightened everything back up is that ok won't it mess the forks if u don't properly align the feint wheel properly??
I use anti-corrosion marine grease. You don'tneed a high speed performance grease. Your wheel turns on the bearings not the axle. You need a grease to help the axle slide out easier next time and a grease which holds up and repels water well.
David Kosiba Spend the money and ONLY buy Pitbull and you will always be happy looking at your bike in the air. Also, shop Craigslist. You can get a Pitbull for a fraction of the price than buying new. They last forever. I have about six of them. The single sided rear stands are the same for Ducati, Triumph, Honda, you just need to buy the VFR pin if say you find a Ducati stand... Good Luck.
It works on all VFR's. Watch some of my other videos. I have more than one VFR. And there are no shortage of VFR's which roll through my garage. I just swapped out tires on a 2008 - 800 last week with the same stands.
Your axle and wheel only fit one way. If you tighten down the axle bolt first it will align everything. I have only owned VFRs for 20 years, and I have never had an alignment problem.

Thanks. Great work. Regards from Lisbon, Portugal.

Nice video! My brake pads seem to rub on the disk a little, so my wheel doesn't rotate as freely as yours does.
Any suggestions?
It is OK.
The pads are supposed to rub. My calipers were off, so the wheel will spin freely until the brake lever is pulled.
Thanks for the vid - very helpful :-)

Great video
It helped me a lot today.
Merci beaucoup.
Are you using a specific ft lbs when you tighten that axle bolt and pinch bolts?
What kind of grease is safe and recommended for the spacers and axle?

Which jack stand are you using, it looks like a nice one.

MikeE RideWNC Thanks Mike! I have a VFR800 but I'm sure all the same advice applies.

Thank you are a life saver ;D
I see the comment about the wheel spinning freely, mine isn't spinning that free.
