I suspect most of the crashes were down to 'more wealth than talent' and International racing liciences being more casually issued in some countries than in Britain. A shame, because the driving talent at the top of the field was of the very highest order
Amazing, the Cars of my youth. When at the start I saw the Jody's Wolf crashing with the Arrows, my heart broke down. And watching the other crashes as well. My salute to my friend Marco Cajani driver and president of the Scuderia Del Portello Alfa Romeo team.
Proof that wealth is no substitute for skill.
That's a very unnecessary comment to make - just be grateful that the people who own and or run these cars are doing so - at least they aren't nannying them around - also as it as era spanning 20 years none of the cars are really in the same classification - there are going to be accidents, incidents and idiots like you who do not appreciate any of that and make silly comments to prove it
@@nelsonclub7722 I think you will find from many following posts that my view is widely held. There are many amateur owner drivers who are capable drivers, we see this at Goodwood. But the Monaco Demolition Derby was painful to watch .

Those cars were built to race. But it rises a few questions: Should we use historical items and smash them?? The drivers are awfull. It´s just painfull to see them racing!!

I wached some of this racing last , It was just a great shame that the presenters know nothing about old racing cars , other than the names of the drivers , the cars they driving did not seem to matter -- VERY POOR !
why cant we put real drivers in these cars?
This was just a joke & goes to show that probably 75% of these owners can,t drive for toffee! Interesting,therefore, to see most of the top slots being filled by British drivers who certainly can;Michael Lyons,Nick Padmore,Stuart Hall etc
Flat out and brainless would be more like it.....
These armature's are crashing some very good and important racing cars, they need to learn how to properly drive these racing cars before they race them... imo
