hi, great video, i have a behringer uca202 , i need to go from a guitar multifx 'headphone' out to the behringer input, however it is very very quiet, could you suggest a circuit i could build on 9v that would boost it to the proper levels....i have parts and can solder etc, i just cant find anything that goes from a headphone level to a 'line in' which i presume the behringer input is. or do i need to build a phono preamp? thanks in advance, i too dont want to use a full size mixer as it needs to be portable as im using the behringer with a tablet and OTG adaptor...
I bought the UCA222 assuming I could just connect a passive microphone through it, apparently I was wrong. I opened the case though and I can see on the PCB that it has one dual-channel JRC 2740 amplifier chip for the inputs and one for the outputs, shouldn't this be enough?
I am not familiar with the internal circuitry. Does your mic require phantom power? That is often necessary. You could try an electret with a small bias voltage; that's what I used directly connected to my UCA202.
The UCA202 does not provide amplification, so your electric guitar will need an amplifer. The UCA202 will then mix the guitar and output it on the USB line. Thanks for watching.
I am not sure I understand your question, but I will try to respond. Mics with electret elements do not use phantom power, but they do require a small voltage to operate. That voltage is usually provided by a battery. Phantom power is required for condenser mics, and is usually 24 or 48 volts. The UCA202 does not provide power for either one; it must be provided separately. Thanks for watching.
@@ImnotChuck. I mean that if could explain. I have a conderser mic with phantom power, 50 ohm headphone (philips shp9600) and an active speaker with optical input(edifier r2850db). I don't want to have any problem with cable quality or anything because of that optical input is great advantage but my laptop dont have optical output. I wanna plug everything to laptop with UCA222. Does it work ? Can i change speaker to headphone with default windows sound control ?
Hey Chuck, good video sir but I have one issue that is driving me insane... Is it possible at all to connect a digital controller (mixer) into this device (where you have an analog mixer) as my digital mixer has a separate channel which allows me to plug in an anolog microphone. I can get the music working through my mixer but not the mic even though I can hear both through the master monitor on my mixer and the output. I need to be able to stream mic+music. Thank you in advance and I have subbed :)
You sir, are a humble genius! Thank you for sharing this information and keep up the good work!
What a nice comment. Thank you for the vote of confidence.

Thanks for the kind words and for watching.

If I want to record an electric guitar, can I connect it directly to uca 222 and put effects in some program?

where to buy in europe, microphone pre-amp?
I don't know about European sources. Sorry and good luck to you.
Brilliant ! The mic audio quality was really surprising 👍
Thanks. That's great to hear. I hope you will subscribe.
Awesome video, not Chuck 👍
Thanks for the high praise. I wish UA-cam liked it more.
I’m looking for this video for the comparisons of the two! Which is better, the uca 202 or uca 222? Or are they do same thing? Thanks!
I have studied the specifications and can find no differences. However, I have not actually used a 222, so I can't say for sure. Thanks for watching.
So normal phantom power is also work for it isnt it ?

This is what I use as the go between from my mixer to my computer. Great little device.
Thanks for watching and commenting. At $30, the UCA202 is hard to beat.
That was so cool. Thank you sir. 👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks for watching and for your comment.
Funny because l was thinking to myself 'he should sell those'. A handy little device 😊
I need more subscribers like you. Thanks.

I agree, I'm sad I can't buy the little battery powered preamp! It's perfect! I would totally buy one off you
Oh I just heard the ending :) good news, I'll take a look
Another fantastic device! Well done.
Thanks for the compliment; the amplifier has turned out well. Thanks for watching and commenting.

No, the UCA202 has only one digital port, and that is the USB connection. Thanks for watching and for asking.
