I remember listening to this song several times and hearing it from my wife, are you in love? Little does she know that the passion I feel is for both of us. I dedicate this song to this amazing and special woman in my life, my children and everything we've been through
@@darkcrow9 It does. I listened to this song on repeat during the most difficult periods of my life-it was three years ago, and I truly believed that I couldn't have gotten through it. Earlier this month, I saw Beach House in concert. It gets better, I promise.
lyrics: Drifting in and out See the road you're on You came rolling down the cheek You say just what you need And in between It's never as it seems Help me to name it Help me to name it If you built yourself a myth You'd know just what to give What comes after this Momentary bliss The consequence Of what you do to me Help me to name it Help me to name it Found yourself in a new direction Arrows falling from the sun Can you come? Would they come to greet you? Let you know you're not the only one You can't keep hangin' on To all that's dead and gone If you built yourself a myth You'd know just what to give Do you lie? Oh, let the ashes fly Help me to name it Help me to name it 🌸🌸🌸
I love when I click on something like this. It’s unsettling and strange to think I almost didn’t. We all must have missed lots of little things we could have loved. But we found lots of beautiful things too.
I believe Myth is one of those absolute perfect masterpieces that in some way always existed, they just were waiting for someone to "discover" them, and Beach House have just done that, and gave it to humanity. Thank you
I'm one of those grumpy middle-aged guys who generally thinks all newer music is terrible, but some of these songs by Beach House are just hauntingly gorgeous. Paris, Texas is also a masterpiece. Thanks for putting together this great video!

My eyes always water when I watch this video. I got curious enough about where the original video came from. I looked up the movie, (Paris, Texas) and it turned out there was going to be a showing near me. I didn't have anyone to go with so I decided to go alone. When this scene came on during the movie, I started to hear the bell and Myth started to play in my head. I was sitting there with streams of tears that I have held back for so long (even though theater was packed, it was nice that I went alone). Just like many others, I was/am going through very confusing and scary times in my life. The movie was an amazing peace of art and life. Although, many thinks Beach House is too sad but along with the sadness, their music continues to bring so much to life.
Same here! Never watched Paris, Texas but this music & video triggers a weird feeling of nostalgia inside of me, as if i miss a life i never lived. So strange, and yet addictive i keep coming back to this video every now and then :D
A couple of years ago, I discovered this masterpiece...Paris Texas! And since that time...every year...every single year... just before we go into the new year... I sit around 10 p.m. or so and watch this...never missed a year. Movies like this are salvation for our wounds. I was lonely the entire time, not much of friends or long-lasting companions. This film helps me to feel a little, grieve a little, and keep going one step at a time. Also...this is the second song I heard which is combined with the scenes of this movie. The other one is from Lana Del Rey's Paris Texas, and its background music is a work by SYML. That is also, in my opinion, a very powerful and moving song.

The fact I've heard this song 100s of times by now i can honestly say this is the most emotional I've felt while listening to it. You did an amazing job pairing this video edit with it. Thankyou so much for making me feel the emotions i just felt.
Thank you for your words but this edit belongs to a person named Cyborg. It was removed because of a copyright violation from their channel but I re-uploaded it for everyone to enjoy.
I found this song in my second semester of freshman year in college and it was brutal. it was winter, all my HS friends found new friends, I was failing everything and overall I just felt so alone. this song and the entire depression cherry album really helped and comforted me on the days I'd just lay in bed and do nothing. this song will forever hold a special place in my heart.
I’m currently in pretty much the exact same situation you described, and your comment gives me hope that there’s a day in the future where my current struggles will become memories. Thank you for commenting that, it makes me feel much less alone
A beautiful & useful share. Thank you for being honest & vulnerable. I can remember songs that did the same for me in similar circumstances - my first semester freshman year was ... a lost year? Few memories other than pain & fear. I can so relate to your comment. This song - It inspired me to create a playlist of songs I want to catalogue for use in soundtracks of screenplays I write. So, thanks to @Cosmic Radiation for posting.
this video popped up in my recommended a few months ago and i immediately decided to watch paris, texas and delve into beach house’s discography. both the film and their music speak to my soul on a whole other level and are now all time favourites. thank you!!
I saw Paris, Texas back when I was 15. The movie has stayed with me my whole life. Esp. "I knew these people". As for Beach House, heard Space Song on a short loop to a Meme, Got me hooked as soon as I found out who they were.
Paris, Texas is my all time favorite movie since I saw it more than 30 years ago. Watched it uncountable times. Beach house fits its pictures very well.
this song captures so much emotion in just one song, it’s truly art. my love showed it to me as we danced in the field. it was the most euphoric feeling just being there with him, nothing else in the world mattered, the sunset beaming in the background complimenting his face as he sang it. it was a moment i can’t fully express the beauty of. i know it will be a core memory:)i can’t express how much i truly love this song.
The name of this film is Paris,Texas film from Wim Wanders with Harry Dean Stanton & Nastassja Kinski (1984) Palme d'Or à Cannes, one of the best movie i've never seen, a "Pépite", great, very great!!!
2:05 is literally moment of where you cherish everything in your life. Whether it's good or bad, as long as you live life to the fullest, every moment is special ❤️
Thank you so much for making this available, and to Cyborg, whoever you are, for creating this. This song and the film meld so well, when I first saw it, I had difficulty believing they weren’t somehow inextricably associated, even though I knew it couldn’t be the case. Well for me they are now, even though the one existed without the other for so long. I love retuning to this song and to this presentation.
You guys changed my life for the better. You always make me feel a certain way I’ve felt before, even if it was sad, bad, or one of the worst days of my life. Whenever I hear this I feel like I’ve heard it before in my past life or somewhere before. It’s so beautiful and it makes things better knowing I am in Better places in life
Muchas gracias por subir el video, realmente el montaje de "I'm cyborg but that's ok" hace encajar perfectamente la película y la canción de Beach House. Lo eché de menos cuando lo bajaron.
RIP Harry Dean Stanton (older male actor in cowboy hat) (July 14, 1926 - September 15, 2017) Harry was a legendary American actor, musician, and singer. The offbeat leading man who starred in Repo Man was in many David Lynch films like "Fire Walk With Me" and "Wild At Heart" and "Lucky." For his role in Lucky, Stanton was posthumously awarded the Satellite Award in 2018 alongside Gary Oldman.
Forgotten how much I LOVE this song. Still the same warm emotional pins + needles as the first time I heard it years ago. Thank you so so so so much. Incredible what music can do to you. My life has been in Covid storage for 2years, music included, this makes me pine and yearn.
Often we hold on to our past tightly, afraid it will flutter off into to the wind and chaos of time. We want these precious moments to last forever because in our memories they'll degrade and fade away into a nostalgic longing for the past This song reminds me those happy moments I shared with my deceased wife, the awkward dancing, the stupid jokes and the spirit of fun she put into all those moments we had.
One of my favorite songs and my favorite film of all time in perfect synchrony! Paris, Texas and beach house have been two big parts of my life, somehow through them I find the things that made me realize how beautiful life can be even in my worst moments. Thank you!!!
i listened to this song with my boyfriend after we broke up, we were tying to still be together after all, I was literally obsessed with this song and I had to let him see this video. After a month he said to me that he felt a strong connection between us that he never felt while listening. Now I broke up with him again and I am still listening this song on repeat, I didn't care too much until it was too late but I will always keep this video as a memory. Thank you for creating this
This video inspired me to watch Paris, Texas. I was blown away! Such a complicated and tragic story. Every ounce of catharsis seems to come with a price. Amazing cinematography and acting. Stop running Travis!!
It's always great seeing that people who share love for this music are always wishing good vibes to everyone else! Would be great to connect to anyone in Germany listening to these songs. Take care everyone!
Simply lovely❤
Brilliant song, was a tune I happened upon being played on one of our local High School radio stations (play a better mix than anything else I've found) and I'm grateful I was listening at the right moment to hear it! The whole album is wonderful, but this song touches on a bit of melancholy with it's melody and lyrics , that I'm drawn to like a moth to the proverbial flame. Love it ! When Victoria comes in @3:10 still gives me chills. On a side note, two other songs come to mind that give me similar vibes. If interested, they're "Still Corners - the Trip" and "Okkervil River - Your Past Life As A Blast" , both Official Videos capture that lost memories feeling that I love. There's plenty to love sill in the world, but it seems we've lost so much along the way... Hope some who enjoy this song, will find them pleasurable as well. Best Regards & Cheers to All! Happy New Year's -Eve 2021 ! We can only hope 2022 is better. Right? ;)
Crazy how a mix of sounds can make you feel. In an infinite array of combinations, a specific code of sounds did this to you. Each song; like a formula.
I can’t believe I’ve found this song again after so long. I had lost my phone and I just couldn’t remember wait was called. I’m really very happy!!! But if it makes anyone that’s listening sad, I hope you find peace in whatever situation you’re going through. Take care of yourself and the people you love……. ❣️🧡
Many of these nostalgic old videos use footage of families with children, because having children is the thing that makes people happier than anything else in life and it shows how happy they are in these videos. They are in bliss and at peace with themselves, a true deeper meaning and true happiness.
Every time I watch this edit my adoration grows. ... .. . Watch how their hand movements are synced to the beat at 1:21 and 2:04. Even her blinking is in sync at 3:25. Thank you for your words but this edit belongs to a person named Cyborg. It was removed because of a copyright violation from their channel but I re-uploaded it for everyone to enjoy.
@@CosmicRadiation appreciate it.
I found this song in my second semester of freshman year in college and it was brutal. it was winter, all my HS friends found new friends, I was failing everything and overall I just felt so alone. this song and the entire depression cherry album really helped and comforted me on the days I'd just lay in bed and do nothing. this song will forever hold a special place in my heart.
where is your college bro?

Hey you might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like this. They just posted a video called Lazy which has a similar vibe to this
this video popped up in my recommended a few months ago and i immediately decided to watch paris, texas and delve into beach house’s discography. both the film and their music speak to my soul on a whole other level and are now all time favourites.
Beach house fits its pictures very well.
this song makes me miss things that even haven't happened
Me too 😢
X3 🥺😮💨
Love is as infinite as the universe.
this song captures so much emotion in just one song, it’s truly art. my love showed it to me as we danced in the field. it was the most euphoric feeling just being there with him, nothing else in the world mattered, the sunset beaming in the background complimenting his face as he sang it. it was a moment i can’t fully express the beauty of. i know it will be a core memory:)i can’t express how much i truly love this song.
That is beautiful. I hope to one day do that
The name of this film is Paris,Texas film from Wim Wanders with Harry Dean Stanton & Nastassja Kinski (1984) Palme d'Or à Cannes, one of the best movie i've never seen, a "Pépite", great, very great!!!
I`ve been listening to this song for a few years and every time is like a first one.
Complete masterpiece!
Bravo
I wish I could feel over and over again, the things I felt the first time I heard this song.
2:05 is literally moment of where you cherish everything in your life. Whether it's good or bad, as long as you live life to the fullest, every moment is special ❤️
We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories. Some take us forward, they're called dreams.

Cyborg is a genius to relate Myth to Paris, Texas.
Agree with all of that entirely
Thanks for putting this back up. its beautiful.
Most importantly he was Molly Ringwald's Dad in Pretty in Pink alongside Jon Cryer and Andrew McCarthy 🌸💗💗💗🎭 one of my favorite movies of all time.
Brett in Alien 👾

Love to you both, always.
I just found this band and I can’t get enough.
One of my favorite songs and my favorite film of all time in perfect synchrony! Paris, Texas and beach house have been two big parts of my life, somehow through them I find the things that made me realize how beautiful life can be even in my worst moments. Thank you!!!
So beautiful. The song, the film, the actors' story. Thanks to cyborg, and thanks to you bringing back
This film, song and it's combination is everything to me.
This is legit one of the best, most beautiful mashups I've seen. Cheers.
This song is pure art. I listen it on repeat and each time is special ❤
"What comes after this
Momentary bliss.." 💔
So special
I have not yet managed to watch this even once without tears welling up.
Such a beautiful film! A slow burner to be sure, but its cinematography is just gorgeous and the characters are wonderfully real ❤
Rest peacefully my two favorite Dean's
i listened to this song with my boyfriend after we broke up, we were tying to still be together after all, I was literally obsessed with this song and I had to let him see this video. After a month he said to me that he felt a strong connection between us that he never felt while listening. Now I broke up with him again and I am still listening this song on repeat, I didn't care too much until it was too late but I will always keep this video as a memory. Thank you for creating this
My favorite film and band together. 🥺👏🏻 Thanks for this.

I do love the original Ry Cooder guitar over this footage, but yes, this is also quite nice.
🥰 amazing
This video inspired me to watch Paris, Texas. I was blown away! Such a complicated and tragic story. Every ounce of catharsis seems to come with a price. Amazing cinematography and acting. Stop running Travis!!
Discovering beach house music is one of the best things that ever happened to me, it always comforts me and helps me go through hard days.
Hey if you like Beach House you should listen to a band called The Doublejumps. Similar chill, vintage retro aesthetic
It's always great seeing that people who share love for this music are always wishing good vibes to everyone else! Would be great to connect to anyone in Germany listening to these songs. Take care everyone!

Right? ;)

Amazing assumption the number one reason for divorce is economics of course, the number two reason for divorce is teenagers in the home. LOL
